While i agree with everything you said its still okay to have a preference and im genuine happy whenever i see that a game is turn-based. And i think we are all quite a while away from judging games just cause they are action-oriented. I prefer horror movies over comedy but still watch and enjoy them. IMO
Turn-based > > > > action (which can ofc also be awesome)
There you got another one with this belief :)
Avoid Tactics Advance but play not only X-2 but also XIII-2 and Lightning Returns? Mhmmmmm......
I agree. Im glad this was my first Suikoden, so it was quite "ok" at that time and did not disappoint me. Sadly the Story was quite meh and even tho i dont realy care about graphics the animations were super bad even for ps2 games. But the wow-effect was awesome as i played Shadow Hearts Covenant right after this.
wow, i actually follow your comments through a lot of rpg posts on this site and i quite often agree to most of the things you say ... so im realy surprised to see The Last Remnant on your list. Personaly i realy disliked it, but then again i played the xbox version. Very interesting list, even tho there is too much FF imo :)
inb4 hype: steam/ps4 release of the original Chrono Trigger with SUPERHIGHREZTEXTURES!!!
... you will never hype me again Square! ...
A new Shadow Hearts or Suikoden would be awesome :(
"...Was Worth the Wait" ...
Am I the only one who thinks it feels kind of dull and lame? Ya, it looks great, but c'mon thats something we should have expected ^^
Can't say that a good looking demo proves that the wait was worth it, i miss the fantasy tbh but whatever, thats just my oppinion :)
Both FFX and KH were games made by Squaresoft.
Oh and the downfall started with Squaresoft: FFX-2...
Breath of Fire
I couldnt agree more, im absolutly hyped for NIOH since im a Dark Souls fanatic to the core. Horizon on the other hand looks utterly boring to me. Maybe i will get hooked as soon as some story informations are coming up. That was my point, i can love a game like Souls even tho its not turn-based :), but nothing will ever beat the likes of FFVI, FFX and Shadow Hearts for me.
+ i agree with the sidequest aspect, witcher spoiled the shit out of us with this and many more features. A hi...
