I would have to respect Keighley's commitment to the show also having a stable mix of indie, midsize and AAA projects. For me the part that was missing was having the Huge announcement the one that everyone can say this is the next best thing. Like the new Witcher game or Dragon Quest 12 maybe a new game IP from a well established studio for example IO Interactive (Hitman developer).
According to Statista the net income of Microsoft is about $72.4 billion dollars which is a bit lower than last year profit. That is almost as much as Activision's acquisition but I assume that would be a one off since it costs so much plus I see how their focus has been shifted to AI, thus any major future investments will probably be in that area.
Maybe it was overheating too often
That thumbnail is horrible
I wonder if its going to be developed by Platinum Games again or will Square decide to handle the project in house.
I agree maybe they delayed the game to do some bug fixes so that it doesn't launch in a broken unplayable state, which would severely affect the review and metacritic scores.
Great game one of the best sequels with a complete 180 of the main character.
My personal sleeper hit this year was Baldur's Gate 3. I expected the game to be alright but too ambitious, however it smashed through initial expectations. Otherwise Lies of P looks good and I might pick it up for Christmas.
Looks cool I might pick it up for Christmas I am mostly interested in the ability to work standalone and for gaming using the new WiFi 6E which is double the bandwidth, so that I can wireless connect it to my PC. As for AR it look like a work in progress, thus I don't expect much at launch or in the next couple of months.
Maybe but we will see. The feature is exclusive to the 15 Pro I would say Apple will need a higher install base to persuade developers maybe once the technology becomes more massively adopted as newer generations of iPhone arrive plus Android devices start supporting it as well, so hopefully in a few years we can see that bearing fruit. I believe it would be a big help for Macs as gaming has been severely lacking on the platform compared to Windows and if this integration includes Macs and iP...
Another game announced way too early with a release date still unknown pfff
I personally am not a fan of the game following the same story line as the anime/manga. I would have preferred for an original story mode to be done in a Mortal Kombat style with each chapter centering around a select character, thus moving the overall plot forward.
But this game also looks fun and exploring the open world could be cool.
Hopefully we get to see more at TGS
Maybe the feature still hasn't been build into the Creation Engine which I believe this game might be the first commercially released product for that particular engine. If this is a work in progress it is just a matter of time until more features get added. The fact that FSR work with both AMD and Nvidia GPUs plus consoles could be a deciding factor in my opinion if the studio can the spend resources to implement only a single upscale technology into the game.
To be fair I do prefer this approach than having games announced 2-3 years earlier and by the time of release the initial excitement would be gone.
My personal view is that games should not be announced/teased too early my ideal ratio would be for E3 and the shows during that period should concentrate on games releasing during the fiscal year while Gamescom should concentrate to further present those games with extra trailers, hand on and interviews.
As for new game announce...
I am looking forward to this remake since I first heard of it last year. Hopefully it turns out well worth the extra time.
I kind of feel we should be getting a Pirate Warriors 5 announcement.
Oh and I am getting tired of One Piece games following the Manga/Anime plot-line just in video game form as of late I think they should abandon that approach for the next couple of arks.
Maybe a new Ratchet and Clank game since they have a lot of the assets from the one that came out 2 years ago
Sounds nice that they are targeting different genres hopefully they make some VR ones as well.
On the other hand I am hoping that the are not just shooting in different directions and only expecting that 2-3 of the games turn into a success and the rest get abandoned after a year or two.
I am excited for this one, moreover the new season focused on the 100 year quest is starting next month.
