Wrong. It'll thrive on PC because of the options given, not to mention the only place for a quality view along with acceptable framerates.
But then again, High End hardware is hardly being used these days, because we're still stuck in the past. Crysis was the last time hardware was pushed.
This is about RPG's, not Action / Adventure.
On topic - Torment: Tides of Numenera damn well better release in 2016, or early 2017.
I think you're reaching far out, in order to pin blame on Epic for this one. That's a new one to me at least, in order to defend this reimagining.
At this point there's more of a Western than Eastern vibe to their games, which is why other games turn out to be more true in that aspect. They've been more focused on broadening the market appeal, instead of creating something truly great.
FF is like other brands, which will sell no matter how much you polish a turd. The problem is, that they're now destroying the legacy of Square Soft's older games.
Of course it makes a great difference in any game, even if it's an animation in a turn-based game.
30 FPS should just die in a fire. Personally i can't play games in 30, because for an extended amount of time, it just messes with my eyes after playing in 60+. That and i would get a headache.
Now that it's easier than ever to make a game, these kinds of people appear as well. They're probably part of the demographic, that says they can't see a difference.
Indeed, i wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Some devs really come out with mind boggling comments.
Not this generation, and most likely not the next either. It depends if the companies take the cheap route again.
Honestly, meaningful choices and endings is on a downwards spiral in general.
Suicide isn't uncommon in the east, so it would be a likely scenario.
This is not a hack, this is on their side.
Valve really screwed up with this one, and even considering their sole focus is pretty much on Steam. How this could happen is beyond me.
Indeed, by the time the game is released, whatever mechanics it'll have will show its age.
MMORPG's are just taking a 3 - 4 year break, before the quality is returning. The executives are currently taking a step back from the genre, because they tried to cash in on it and failed.
We'll see the return of niche games, instead of something catering to everyone and everything.
Specialists was a terrible, terrible idea to begin with. This is just about making people use a failed design idea, because generally people won't bother with it.
Of course they have to come out and say this, considering Tencent has more than likely changed Epic for the worse on the inside. Phones won't replace a PC / Console, ever. People game on such things, because of their surround setups and screens you wouldn't ever carry around with you.
That and because phones have to be energy efficient, like people have said. They're simply not made for long term gaming in more demanding games.
Well, there you go. Now create a proper sequel to Sleeping Dogs.
The idea with LFG is good, but the problem is, that it's so easy to poison the well with social media these days. All it takes is a few fake ''gamers'' signing up, in order to spread some nonsense arguments.
No, it isn't. But then again, that was already noticeable with FFXV as well.
Larger open worlds means nothing, and Just Cause 3 / Xenoblade mostly fills it out with fluff to make it ''meaningful'' .
None of the games really did it well, and i thought Witcher 3's open world structure was poorly done as well. The game suffered for it, that much is certain.
