The problem lies in the most important aspect of a FPS, the shooting mechanics. Poor hit detection, dropped frames, poor netcoding... whatever the reason, the hit detection is horrible. They can add all the bells and whistles they want, they can release DLC after DLC... but that doesn't change the fact that the shooting mechanics in this game is piss poor. I won't even get into using a shotgun or sniping.
"Treyarch Explains How They Build and Balance Multiplayer Maps..."
So when are they going to learn to build and balance a game?
There is nothing literally wrong with what he said, but there is something wrong with what's implied. He is basically saying that Kinect is not precise, at the moment, because certain games are not built specifically for it. But think for a second, what kind of core game can be built specifically for Kinect? How can you constantly (and practically) move a character... walk, run, dodge, turn, crouch, jump, aim, etc. without getting exhausted within minutes?

The real question is why is he just now admitting to the balance issue? If they were aware of it, why did they wait for the next game release to address it rather than during the almost 2 years MW2 has been out?
It seems as if they intentionally left the game "broken", as a means to promote improvement for their next title. As if a balanced game is something we should be excited about, rather than something we should expect.

Almost 6 years? Really? I could have sworn the PS3 was released in November of 2006. That would make it less than 5 years in, certainly not "almost 6 years".
Funny you mention gun on gun action when most of the time, half the kills are due to kill streaks (MW2 and Blops). Also, CoD gameplay is not flawless. MW2 was plagued for the first 3 months with glitches and exploits, and inherently have exploitable perk set ups (Marathon/Lightweight/Commando and OMA/Danger Close/Grenade Launcher attachment) that pretty much ruin the gameplay for many people other than the people using the set ups. Blops is also far from flawless gameplay. For one, weapon mec...
