OK for the used to be a serious but now casual gamer, this seems a bit confusing. Both Sony and MS are creating 4K consoles which need to support older/inferior specs too? I was really looking at getting a PS4 or XB1 but now I think I am going to hold off, and wait to see what the NX actually is
@blawren4 @superchiller - you would have a tough time finding a bigger Nintendo fan boy then me. I will buy just about anything they make, but I have to agree 110% that their policies towards digital are dated and do treat their customers like criminals. I also still don't understand why first party (i.e. Nintendo developed games) are region locked. I really hope this changes with the NX.
I think it really depends on the console; I remember one of the Resident Evil games would always stall and the drive would spin up and make noise right before you get jumped. It really took the suspense out of it and broke the experience. I think this is where digital (and its load times) shine. I also have 2 young kids who are pretty good at scratching discs :-)
My biggest issue w this is that I prefer digital games to physical ones. If I could preorder this and get the Amiibo along w a download code then great, and if they sell this by itself I am sure it will sell out instantly - ie not everyone is going to get one. Here's hoping the Amiibo dungeon will just be timed.
Hahaha this looks awesome! I can't imagine the effort that this takes - hopefully this does get completed
Ouch disappointing score - although I am sure it is fair. I am a Layton fan, but haven't played any Ace Wright games. Maybe I will wait for an eShop sale on this one...
This. Is. Awesome.
Can't wait for my V2 devkit to show up!
Disappointing to hear, because I absolutely loved inFamous 1,2 and the DLC (haven't had a chance to play Second Son yet)
I have the original 3DS (the small one) and honestly Monster Hunter didn't seem like a great experience because of the screen size, but was well worth the sale price of $15.99 on the Wii U. Hopefully Capcom will change their minds.
Not surprised - this is gonna be huge!
I really wish there was some kind of 3DS/Wii U Smash Bros bundle since they are already doing this!
I really hope so! Wii U sales are growing, no reason not to!
Love Mortal Kombat - I remember how upset I was when MK I was toned down on the SNES!
We really can review something to death and especially with the web doom games before they even hit the store shelves
I know that emulation can be a very questionable grey area, but I would love to see a fair approach to preserving parts of our shared gaming history - and Atari is definitely worth preserving!
Awesome project, if you enjoy this, check out questicle.net - it's a review of every North American NES game!
Nintendo will always be my favourite game dev!
LOL I like this but no Hold the Line? I love Hold the Line in RE:4
While I agree that E3 would have been better for getting some third party support, I feel like Nintendo will probably go with the TGS instead - maybe trying to favour the Japanese market?
