Agreed, its not even the best remake of the year. That honor goes to Dead Space.
Damn, they snubbed Hogwarts hard. It was easily GOTY contender since release.
Meanwhile the so called “mediocre” Robocop game is beloved by fans and even getting higher scores despite being a AA developer lol
COD is fps trash
Xbox lost focus on what their purpose was, to be cool! The original xbox brand was about being a premium console, as opposed to Sony and Nintendo which was for the masses. It was about delivering a console with great graphics, great online and the games to showcase these abilities. It was not too different than how SEGA differentiated itself from Nintendo so, by claiming that they were the console for grown ups. Xbox was the console of “premium tv” so to speak as opposed to good old cable tv ...
This should be a precursor to what Witcher 4 is since CDPR went through some internal changes after the disaster that was CP2077 at launch. If this Cyberpunk 2.0 + DLC turns out to be a return to form, then that gives hope Witcher 4 could still be good. On the other hand if this DLC turns out to be crap, then its guaranteed the true CDPR died back in 2017 when a lot of their former long term people left.
This will compete against the PS5 VR. This headset is cheaper VR option overall given its standalone, while being compatible with PC. On the other hand the Sony VR2 is more expensive overall if you include the necessary PS5 requirement.
Well maybe you should have put better effort into the iconic role. Her voice acting sounded like she had a 6 foot pole up her ass and was only there for the paycheck
CDPR is a complete shit show right now, don’t believe the hype. The new Witcher 3 upgrade had major glitch issues and even their latest patch broke the game with new issues, they are still amateur coders and don’t know how to properly release products.
Rumors are they’re struggling with that new Cyberpunk DLC and this report only confirms they’re still that clueless company that destroyed Cyberpunk upon release.
All these multi projects they claim to be ...
Funny, since the OG versions I always said that Dead Space was a sci-fi RE4 with better controls. And even with these remakes, it still holds true lol. But yea I hope this is something they can tweak and patch because the movement just isn't up to the task given the new quicker enemy behavior. They made the combat engagements faster, but without better fluidity in movement...the gameplay feels uneven.
Yea I mean the cut content isn't unexpected, but it still feels d...
Don't swallow the modern gravy train, its unjustified retroactive praise. I said true RE fans in reference to back in the day, its been like 18 years since then. I get that a chunk of the modern RE fanbase wasn't around then. Doesn't change the fact that RE4 was mixed received from the community upon release. Its constant releases upon every new console generation since then have given the false impression that is was always beloved.
Your right about Separate Wa...
Again, all these scores are irrelevant and falling for false nostalgia. While the overall remake is decent and updated for modern hardware (not that well actually), the game is an overall a failure to the real fans. Not to mention all modern reviews praising RE4 as a legendary game (which it is) are dishonest in saying it was universally loved!
TRUTH: RE4 was actually divisive amongst the true RE fans upon realize. Despite being a awesome game in its own right (gameplay wis...
Doesn't matter now, they ruined it. The game looks great on ps5 so far, but despite the updated controls Leon's movement is even worse than the original. Plus we finally got confirmation they cut out a large amount of content (no U3 boss, assignment Ada removed, no separate ways, no laser sights (except pistol upgrades), weapons missing (flame gernades, prl), and a few other mind boggling changes that don't add up! Why cut the separate paths option between chainsaw and el gigante?...
Don't listen to them, CDPR are selling out! They are purposely trying to overvalue themselves by promising games that are far from having any concrete plans of production. Just so that Sony or some other big publisher will buy them out!
They just barely announced this year that they would fully adopt UE5 for all their games. So their developers are only starting to learn the engine. Meanwhile they haven't even opened up their NA division yet to make up for the fact ...
G4 was tv gold back in its’ prime days! Shows like Judgement Day, Cheat, Xplay, etc… we’re real gaming focused. It was the spiritual/direct successor to TechTV.
Todays massive streaming shows are garbage compared to the originality of mid 2000s competition. Sad to see G4 degrade itself to the modern putrid social values rhetoric
For those willing to believe me, I'll give my best NEUTRAL review of the game. Meaning the actual game itself and not discuss any of the development politics (which is what I see most people talk about). I bought it like half a year ago for only like $50 bucks during a quick sale. Played it for a while, not anymore though.
In terms of positives, the game is immersive. What people complained about Cyberpunk 2077 missing is actually here. You can interact with the world b...
Best of 2015? Arguably the best shooter of this generation!!! Blew BF4 out of the water (and I've been a BF fan for years). BO3 is my first COD game since the first Black Ops, and man how the series has changed. Feels so much better and I loved the new addition of powers and weapons. Making each online character have unique abilities also was an excellent step forward.
I played a bit of BLOPS2, Ghosts, AW...but I never owned them. They were all definitely not as good as a...
BO3 will win this easily, more consoles and a much bigger fan base. COD was the king of last generation gaming, it had no equals. And come Fall, with the release of the first true next generation Black Ops game, history will repeat itself.
I don't get why people give Fallout 4 a chance. People easily forget that Fallout 3, despite being a great game, went up against World at War in its release. And World at War, one of the best and most unique COD out there, screwed Fallo...
First enough with the anomaly thing. Not counting weird innovations like the Virtual Boy, Nintendo only has six main consoles in its history. 3 (nes, snes, wii) were success, and 3 were failures (64, GC, wiiu). That is hardly a big enough sample to make ANY generalized trends of observations.
Nintendo marketed the Wii perfectly and was a success do to brilliant business/marketing moves, not luck as most of you say. HOWEVER Nintendo also makes some major idiotic decisions bec...
Funny thing is, people that hate/love remasters....must hate/love COD. Otherwise they are hypocrites.
The EXACT SAME arguments one can make in favor, or against, remasters are the same arguments one can make for COD.
COD is the same game every freaking year and millions buy it, BUT plenty of gamers hate COD and say its buying the same game over and over. And technically the same argument applies here. If you buy remasters, then your no better than a COD fan ...
@Levii_92
What is the point of a remake (besides being a cash grab)? RE4 remake can’t even replace the original…which is the whole point of a remake (make the game again).
Dead Space remake makes the original obsolete, whereas RE4 remake does not. It’s better in graphics and restrictions, but ruins precision and pacing.
Ironically, REmake for GameCube is the perfect example. It completely makes playing the original Resident Evil (ps1 e...
