Dragon age origins was an awesome game my goty for 2009 This is the PC version i am refering to. On console it was a dumbed down hack and slash. Da2 and da3 were worse i hated both of them not real da games at all. Rather just made to suit the wider audience.
Dragon age was awesome when designed around Pc gaming. After which the franchise was ruined should be relabelled dragon effect.
Now witcher is a PC franchise. Witcher 3 seems really good for now. How qui...
@Genuine
"Off topic: stutters exist on PC and X1 as well."
The PC version has been working well for me since launch. However since the last patch 1.04 it works exceptionally smooth. Most PC users saw a 10-15fps boost from the patch.
@Awi
AMD generally fails are driver coding anyways. Amds a console company now, they dont care about PC gaming. Just check how delayed their driver releases and product releases are.
Hell most games dont even support Crossfire for months on end, I would suggest AMD stop crying and first get their own house in order.
Nvidia is doing an amazing job, sure their hardware is a bit more expensive. However if i have to pay a bit more for solid softw...
-Texture rendering quality for the high and ultra presets has been improved.
-Further improvements made in NVIDIA Hairworks performance.
Sounds good. Now give us the modkit soon and we are golden.
The mod kit isnt out yet so we need to wait.
Mods will transform this into the best looking game out there.
Plus this will allow them to sell HD remakes lol.
Maybe they should have hired some modders on the open market lol. Wait for the mod jit to release modders will bring the game closer to the real vision.
Should go back play W1 & 2 with mods. Dragon age origins was awesome but thats more of a tactical rpg.
The consoles already received a downgrade in the first patch so they could handle the graphics. No way they will increase the graphics as that would hurt performance.
This is most likely PC only.
I would think they should give people the option
1080p 30fps
720p 60fps.
Dont see why that would be too hard to do. In fact that should be a option with all games.
I dont think optimization is bad. The game makes very good use of multi core CPUs even all the way until 6 cores. It has about 75% SLI scaling which is respectable again.
I think they are nitpicking on small issues. Its nothing that cant be fixed in a patch or two. I would say the game is very well optimized.
Please just enjoy the game. Its awesome on all platforms. All these comparisons turn into fan wars in the end.
I just saw Witcher 3 running on a friends PC 5k resolution, it was 1440p DSR 2x which is about 5120 x 2880. I have to say the game looks amazing. For people that can run it that way.
He was running the game with few settings turned lower to make it run at that res:
Antialiasing turned off- obviously its a waste at that res
Foliage distance high - as ultra hurts performance alot
Shadows high
SSAO
Everything else ultra, ...
Lets hope they release the Mod kits soon, So we see a Mod scene like skyrim.
With proper Mod tools no reason why this game cant be transformed to one of the best looking master pieces on the PC.
Depends what you mean by highest 1080p, 1440p or 4k?
If you have an Nvidia GPU you could enable DSR, which is pretty much the same as ubersampling.
Crytek pretty much did the same with PC gamers. Look at where they are today, out of business.
does that really matter. He sure does have the option to. Not like there is that option on console.
@Roccetarius
True PC gamers who were the reason this franchise even exists got a bad deal and honestly its not something console gamers should be happy about either.
I am going to say it again. PC and Console go hand and hand they both need each other. However when games are developed they should be developed for the PC first, then turned down for console purpose.
The reason i say this is because if games were to stop pushing PC hardware. PC ...
People are making an issue out of this for no reason. I mostly only play exclusives on my ps4.
I have steam for my online needs. Paying to go online is silly to begin with.
