PS3 should get the same treatment as PC, that's the reason Valve is praising ps3 but dissing MS right now
FF13 is a good game, but I agree with gamespot - ff14 sucks. I regret buying it
Not a good comparison
To most parents, iPod touch is a music player that has some other functionalities - no harm if kids want it
But a DS is a gaming device that would cause their kid to fail at school - no way even if it is cheaper than iPod touch
No AMD does not have "bang for the buck" when it come to gaming, AMD CPU of the same price range as i3/5/7 performs worth on gaming, they are better at media decoding and multi-task production activities
I believe locking CPUs have been common practice in the industry for a long time. Certain models of AMD Athlon II x2 has been found to actually be Operons or Phenoms II x4 with locked up cores and cache, though I have no idea for what purpose because AMD did not offer an "upgrade" for them.
Never heard of this "Raptr"
As of right this moment, AMD leads the market (ATI does not exist), but nvidia is gaining market with their new gtx 460 series
Thank god indeed, will preorder now based on those promise
I thought these legit rental companies has some kind of special license from publisher, more expensive persumebably. Or else it would be too easy making money from this
hmm.... the original game's ridiculous-long 70-100 hour campaign is one of the aspects I really liked, but I'm ok if they shrunk it to 40-60 hours.
Steam does not encrypt game data files, you can mod it if the game allows it, same as with a retail copy
actually you don't understand. IF what Kotaku showed was true, then it's SIMPLY just biased flamebait, Xbox fans will laugh, and PS fans will argue even 90 sec loading time is not too bad. However, showing intentionally falsified information is the worst crime in any form of journalism. Maybe not intended by Kotaku, but they are still very unprofessional by choosing to ignore obvious signs of falsification
That's really naive.
Under capitalism, EVERY company's main focus would be profit. All the nice things we got (innovation, good games) are just side effects of a company's effort to gain more profit.
it's not a "chicken or egg" question. Hackers came first, than came DRM.
actually most people giving one star REVIEWs were like:
no LAN support? I'm not going to buy this.
It's not a complete game? I'm not going to buy this.
It's the same as C&C4. I'm not going to buy this.
So may bad reviews. I'm not going to buy this.
to someone who has never opened a PC case before, what Reibooi said maybe true. I remember the first time I tried to upgrade my PC, bought a 8800GT PCIe card, but it turns out my PC only has AGP and PCI slots [facepalm], at that time I don't even know what PCI/PCIe/AGP is.
it's sort of showing progress already, they have gone from "we will not include LAN play" to "we may add it in the future"
you know the ps3/xbox360 images used in th comparisons are down-scaled to a handheld resolution right?
call me a graphics whore but even comparing to the down-scaled version, 3DS shows it's lacking in polygon count (too many smooth surfaces)
If you can find some E3 videos, it will show the combat was MUCH faster than alpha or FFXI
$56 is the cost of material, there is a lot of overhead such as packaging/transportation/labor /retailer's cut/etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they all adds up to exactly $150.
