Video game 'addiction' is a social problem. I rarely hear of television addiction, or book addiction, or film addiction, despite people investing hours into them, and sometimes, ignoring other aspects of life to do so.

Those ads are likely run by a different company, or an external team. Editorial will likely not be involved.
