It is very possible that they may be the last consoles I ever own.
I mean...I'll be at least 45 by the time they launch...so playing the odds its a strong possibility.
Um....not even close.

"Why would you buy a Cadillac Escalade instead of a Toyota Highlander, and a Kia Sportage to go with it too?" - Michael Pachter
Back in 2004 or 2005 Electronics Boutique made a similar mistake. We ran a promotion where you got double trade in credit when trading 5 or more games.(Sports games excluded). Problem is we also had a coupon available where you could purchase Fight Club for $5. It traded in for $22. My roommate went around to practically every store in Connecticut buying up every copy he could find and immediately trading it in. Turned $25 cash into a little over $1400 store credit before someone caught ...
Spoiler: Injustice 2 Mobile on switch.
Bathesda was going to remaster Morrowind, but then they took an arrow in the knee.
(I'm so sorry. I just really couldn't help myself.)
I'm an Xbox guy, have been since 2001. With that being said though, I have to be honest. If I didn't have a current gen console and was choosing one based off of the pressers, Sony made me want to buy a PS4, Xbox made me want to buy a PC.

Agree 100% on the pay to win issue. Took the words out of my mouth.
Netflix?
I guess I'm just exactly the opposite. I remember paying $75 for SFIITurbo and Tecmo Super Bowl 3, and upwards of $90 for early N64 titles like MarioKart 64 and KI Gold. I've never had an issue paying a premium price for a game that was deserving, I just get annoyed with being nickeled and dimes to death after my initial purchase and having games that are for lack of a better word broken or incomplete when I get them home. Just my opinion.
Not just athletes do this. I used to work at EB in Connecticut and John Mayer was notorious for leaving his Xboxes in hotels while on tour. I personally must have sold him at least 15.
Wait...a company is "stuck in the past" for transitioning their focus from consoles to mobile and casino gaming? Riiiiiight.....
Gamecube overall was a massive disappointment, but greatly underestimate how revolutionary the Wavebird was.
