Microsoft/ Game Pass killed it, even with Google's wallet. I can imagine what Sony is feeling...well, I can see what Sony is feeling. Jim Ryan made that VERY clear 😭😭😭
Talk about old news. Good lord haha
The Sony exclusives are the types of games that would be perfect for a subscription service like PS Now and Game Pass. They're typically single player, one and done rentals. I do own multiple copies of The Last of US lol.
I don't think it ever will. Not that Game Pass is a make or break service for a platform. But it's definitely more appealing than I expected it to be at the beginning. Microsoft already has tens of billions invested in those massive Azure server farms all over the world. Not only is Sony unable to afford that type of investment, they don't feel it's necessary.
They're probably right. At least until they have a good "ecosystem" that would make that upfro...
I've had Game Pass on auto renewal for the past 4 years. Mainly because of the convenience and constant additions made to the library of games. However, this month I took a minute to look and see if there were any promotions or deals anywhere online. I was able to buy 6 month cards of Game Pass for $59.99 each. I took advantage of that and bought 2 yrs worth. So I'm set for the 1st and 3rd party, day one release, games coming up in the very near future.
Game Pass literally h...
I think Sony might have overpaid for Bungie. That's a decent amount of money for only Destiny. Don't get me wrong...I understand that there are still people that love Destiny. But they're can't be enough to justify it
Microsoft used millions of Series X consoles/blades to update the Xcloud streaming service. That took a ton of consoles out of market. Plus, you can now play next gen versions of the games that are Game Pass from your OG Xbox One, tablet, mobile phone, and PC. The ecosystem is huge.
Maybe consoles. But I bet the Xbox division makes more than the PlayStation division. Xbox's ecosystem is bigger than a plastic box. I doubt they use console sales as a determinating number for the success of either company for much longer.
Well, they're a TRILLION DOLLAR company. Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft are the top 3 corporate GIANTS of the world. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially considering they just paid the $68.7 billion dollar price tag of Activision and Blizzard with cash. 70 billion is pennies compared to a Trillion.
I like how most video game news outlets are rounding up and saying " Microsoft buys Activision and Blizzard for $70 billion ".
They know $1.3 billion is nothing for Xbox. 😂
Microsoft will buy Sony next. For far less than $70 billion
It won't be long until Microsoft opens their wallet to buy Sony. You heard me right. I said SONY. Not just the PlayStation brand / division... The entire company.
It might even be cheaper than 70 billion.
This argument is dead, bro. Everyone knows you can play Xbox games all the way from your 5 yr old cell to your 5k gaming PC. This is how you evolve... You make gaming accessible to everyone.
Holy $hit Batman. I guess this is what you can do, when you're one of the BIGGEST companies in the world. Flex that big boy wallet.
Game Pass just got a lot more valuable. 😳
Why would a gamer even care about sales numbers. Lol
Because they're not real gamers if they do
Fanboy... I didn't think making a joke about Horizons art style. It works for the mood it's trying to set. Same for Hellblade. I turn my HUD off every time a developer allows it.
This looks like a cartoon, after seeing the Hellblade 2 gameplay.
I agree. Sony nickel and dimes gamers more than any other videogame developer out there. It's amazing how blatantly obvious they with making people purchase a remake of an old game.
I understand they need the money. But they could get it another way. They shouldn't resort to this bull shit.
They have multiple studios working on the game. The delay is probably just due to one of them just finishing up and submitting it later than the others did.
Not sure how you're getting down votes. You simply made a statement about the success of Game Pass 🤷🏽♂️
