My 40GB is still running. I watch blu-rays, I play for longer times, I pause games and leave home etc.
Only thing I never do is letting the console on standby, I always shut it completly down.

Sony said they cant invest in specs like they did with ps3, we all saw the result, so its the only logical step. I think Sony will release their console a little bit later then next xbox. Even if it is a half year later, it means better technics with better prices available. All in all next Xbox and PS will be more or less on same level. Im fine with that, because I know Sony will keep making these great exclusives.

Hahaha, you think developers like it to do more work for Wii U? While they can release their multiplat games on Xbox/PS3 fast, they need to develop online mode for Wii U first. If many Wii U people wanna play online they are going to need huge servers and guess what? They arent free, so lets see who will pay the bill in the end.
Next problem is the security system who will develop that? All third party studios on their own? Have fun.

Today any electronic device is outdated when you buy it at release, few weeks later there is a better device. Now think about 2 years and the fact that Wii U hasnt high-end specs. It will be like it is today, he is obviously right.

Yeah, thats right, but it would be smarter and more consumer-friendly if they wouldnt announce that game XY will be exclusive if it isnt 100% sure. I mean thats kinda fake. You announce at a big conference a great new exclusive IP to impress the community only to disappoint them later. You dont win fans with that and its not the first time this happens.
