Analog stick is not better than a D-Pad if the game in question was designed to use a D-Pad. In fact, an analog makes it worse.

They have to keep the analog. The system is supposed to be backwards compatible with DS games, after all. Kind of a dumb move on Nintendo's part, if you ask me. By making it backwards compatible, they're making the recently released DSi completely irrelevant, and possibly limiting their design choices for the sake DS and DSi games.

They stated that the picture is just a photoshop of what they THINK it will look like. Nothing is confirmed.

He's right up there with Gunpei Yokoi in terms of of everlasting respect.

Makes sense. If they can't get a sufficient number of Moves into people's homes, they're royally screwed. Same goes for Microsoft and Natal. Unlike the Wii, where motion control was the heart of the system to begin with, Sony and Microsoft are essentially trying to sell a $100 controller.

I came into this topic expecting a sarcastic list which pokes fun at the failures that are modern gaming journalists, and that's exactly what I got. :p

I wouldn't say it's the best game of all time, but it's one of those few games that literally has nothing wrong with it.

Nice to see someone else liked the sailing in Wind Waker.

Looks pretty damn good. I might have to pick one up.

Pierce Brosnon or no buy.

I didn't realize PS Move could detect anything but the controllers...

I think the best motion controlled system would be one that combines the Wii Remote w/ Nunchuk with Microsoft's Natal. The accelerometers in the Wii Remote and Nunchuk would detect hand movement, while the camera would detect body movement. You'd probably still need two analog sticks, unless you could program a game that uses 1:1 body movement AND an IR sensor to turn like most first-person Wii games effectively. It's possible, as Red Steel 2 combined IR navigation with 1:1 swordp...

I had high hopes for OnLive, but unless they fix their pricing, I'm not going to even try it. They originally said the price would be comparable to a subscription to XBL, so this is bullshit.

It was his last chance half a dozen or so games ago.

I just got it yesterday, and it truly is a magical experience. I'm only 36 stars in, and I've already experienced satisfaction equal to that of completing several whole video games.

I'm willing to bet that if gaming ever dies, Activision will be the cause.

I'd rather buy a Dreamcast, personally. It's truly a timeless console.

I also wanted one, but never got one. Funny how when one of Nintendo's ideas flops, the idea in question is actually awesome. The N64DD was friggen amazing, and we never got that either.
