If it comes to PC, I just hope they are able to get the game performing well. Maybe 1440p/60FPS without the use of frame-gen or upscaling would be possible?
This PC generation of software and game engines (mostly UE5) have become a joke about fake frames, fake resolutions, and fake performance. Meanwhile, both AMD and Nvidia(not Intel) are trying to sell you fake cards at a fake MSRP based on fake performance uplifts.

Can't wait. This will be on my wishlist for 2024! I bought the original two mainline games, and their remasters, and had a blast with them. I look forward to doing so again in 2024 when I get the superior(possibly GotY) version on Steam.
They always miss that extra level of aesthetic polish that the souls borne genre is known for. It's like fromsoftware hand crafts each piece of terrain geometry in the most important places.
Bloodborne felt dirty, felt visceral, felt unique...the geometry in this game and other games like it that are not FromSoft feel generic and clinical, especially in the architecture.
I'm beginning to make the association between RTX/Gameworks and games that run badly on hardware other than Nvidia. The same is generally not true for titles sponsored by AMD and Intel. Such a slimy anti-competitive company. I've used their hardware in the past but I'm not a fan of their business practices.
I remember them killing the OG Xbox with greed, screwing the PS3 by upselling their RSX that used old style pixel and vertex shader cores, meanwhile knowing ...
Excellent suggestions....unfortunately I've used online bots, store notifications, etc. I've also been on the horn with gamestop at least once a week since launch, with no luck so far. Seems to be plenty of them on ebay....
I think at this point, with as much effort as I have put into securing one, I would be much better served just waiting on my steamdeck. It's a shame really, as I've owned a Sony console every generation... not this one apparently.
I wonder if there is a method of finding out how many consoles actually made it to consumers versus scalpers. It's been almost a year since launch, and I still cannot buy one anywhere except from scalpers for $750+ on ebay.
What are you talking about? An Anbernic RG350 platform with a weak rockchip (RK3326) SOC can run PSX games just fine. It can even run N64 and Dreamcast games with an alternative firmware.
Even the old Snapdragon 845/Adreno 630 can run gamecube/wii games at full speed, that's with an ARM CPU and a much weaker GPU than what Steam Deck will be equipped with.
Short of getting a big money hat from Nvidia, why wouldn't a dev use FSR which is free, open-source, can be implemented alot faster and easier than DLSS, and works on Nvida and AMD hardware? Seems like it's actually a win for AMD unless Nvidia makes DLSS open source, free, and hardware agnostic...which they would never do, since it's tied to the RTX tensor cores.
....
Agreed, if we were to compare FSR 1.0 to DLSS 1.0, then FSR is superior in every way.
Nothing I love more than running a Gameworks game 4k max with all the Nvidia features enabled....on my 6900xt.
Yeah, it's definitely a silicone lottery. At this point, the market being how it is, anyone lucky enough to snag one should be happy. These new cards, green and red are beasts. With FSR and VRS, red owners are about to get a boost.
...
I don't think you are faster than my bog standard reference 6900XT+ more power tools. I can boost to 2650 (validated) as well on air, even with a slight undervolt. Hopefully yours can do the fast memory timings as well. There is a reason that reference 6900xt has a 3Ghz vbios limit.
I'm curious how this will translate on PCs like mine that have 9.3GB/s raw Read throughput. Judging by past games inability to properly leverage high SSD throughput and AMD SAM, maybe not so well. Here is hoping though.
There is already a BB in Cyberpunk 2077. The mission with detective River.
I'd be alot more interested if everything didnt come with mandatory origin install when purchased from Steam. I'm personally unable to play an EA game I purchased from Steam due to this and a vague communication error with no fix.
Finally, a viewpoint that I can agree with. I'm more excited for a Days Gone 2 or the new Horizon Forbidden West. I adored the first game, just about everything in it was clearly polished and aimed at a certain percentage of interactive media consumers, while still aiming for the broader stroke and mostly nailing it. I was not personally a fan of the DLC, but the majority of the game and the characters/ choices themselves were expertly crafted from a narrative point of view. This game tak...
I was one of the lucky ones who was able to get an early launch model 7900XTX when they dropped. I will NOT be upgrading any time soon. Once customers demand a working and performant game for their money, maybe devs will be more open to optimization and QA passes before release. Charging $70+ for a base level beta test is a joke in and of itself.
