they are hard because,
the Enemies are Hard to kill,
if you die, you lose all of your Money (aka Souls) you use to level up, buy weapons,etc.
you also start from the beginning of the map.
there are also more reasons.
beating these enemies, not only feels good, but you get something out of it. Dying makes you create strategies to either avoid, or kill enemies.

the Dreamcast had online before the xbox, it was called SegaNet. also, consoles before it had an online connection, but wasnt on an organized network, which XBL came to be.
well, the framerate was unlocked, and the game was pretty crispy looking on the PC at the time. also aiming was obviously better and faster because of the mouse of course.. its was pretty good fun as well.
technically its been in Halo on PC. but I can see what they mean. its finally officially on the Xbox

I think the problem here is how MS will use the Minecraft IP and the Studio with its Developers. its kinda bothersome for the fact that they could of dropped that money on creating more studios or use that funding to create new IPs with their already established internal studios.

Sonys problem Right now are mobile and tvs. Eventually it's gonna get fixed and be profitable again. They have some of the best engineers as well. This is a company that will be around for years and years to come.
