I giggle when I realize that most of the people whining here haven't even bought the game. They have just read about other people whining about content. And so on.
I have it on PC, and i really enjoy it. Me and a few buddies are having a blast. Not to mention that it maxed out at 1440p is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. And the sound is amazing! In true DICE fashion.

I game on both console and PC. And it's a f#cking travesty that Bethesda released the game in the state they did on PC. It's even worse for us with monitors with 120/144hz (or anything over 60hz), just using a DP cable limits the game to 30fps (unedited) for example. It's uber silly that modders can improve the game this much in a week, while Bethesda couldn't in several years. I think it's time we stop giving Bethesda slack.

It's a stellar achievement really.
It's not the engine or optimization. It's as simple as the game requiring powerful hardware to run... The engine is great. Looks very very good on PC. And it does on console as well. Don't blame Dice.
I think that the fact that the original movies themselves depicted the Stormtroopers as incompetent cannon fodder kinda debunk this outrage... The mistake was made all the way back then. They got higher status now, sure. But they have rarely been very terrifying in any of the non animated movies...
Anyone playing this on PC probably agree that it's a travesty how they could release it like this.. FPS capped to 30, game speed tied to the actual frame rate (!), meaning that after you unlock the FPS through editing of .ini files, you basically have to cap the frame rate manually to 60, because the game speeds up for every frame above that (actually I'm starting to wonder if it happens even above 30..). There's no built in V-sync (REALLY), so you have to cap it through an extern...
Sadly it does matter.. But obviously not when the competing console has double the sales ;-)
A 780 is far from the PS4 and XB1. Hell. a 780Ti is slightly faster than a 970 in most games (helluva close though).
A 780 will run this game a fair bit better than the consoles.

It's just an endless row of icons.. The only thing they added was that they effectively cut the long row of icons after a certain number of icons and put it all in a file drawer.

I got the game two days ago (legally), and im honestly a bit disappointed. It barely looks better than Horizon 2, and that is open world. I was kinda shocked when the first race started (starts right away with a kind of tutorial race, kinda like Horizon 2). Even my gf commented on the fact that it didn't look that good.. i mean, I love my PS4 (and XB1), but things like this and the extremely slow software updates really annoy me.. It's the complete opposite on the XB1. What you don't seem to understand is that if I make a game, then it's my decision if I want to make it illegal to copy that game, because i DO have that legal right. Doesn't matter that you say it isn't illegal, because according to the law it most definitely is.. What you're saying is just standard BS to justify piracy. We've all seen it a million times.. Why do some people keep saying that Steam is cheap?? At least here in Europe the prices on Steam are always higher than retail (both digital and physical..). The only time Steam is cheap, is when they have their sales. I do use it daily though, the service is ace. But you can still buy games elsewhere and then add them to your Steam library.

Except you can't say a game will be worse because it's "hampered" by last gen consoles.. Stupid thing to say. Some of the best games ever made (to this day), are made on old hardware, some even semi-ancient.
With that said, I'm sure Tomb Raider will be really great. But UC4 will be amazing!
Oh really? Haha. I doubt that anyone buying a collection of over 3000, 10-20 year old games, actually buys them to play them ;-)
It's for collectors. Many of these games are most likely never even opened.
