Microsoft has struggled but it is a survivor - look at the lumia phones - some may even agree it is a east vs west war with consoles but i maybe tipping myself here...

Truth is the console war is a marketing strategy. Like Apple Vs Samsung, consoles will be more advanced and probably just as big as the mobile market if the VR becomes epic. If not its just another Kinect story...

It depends on the good factor vs bad factor. In my opinion if there is too much negative "family friendly" reviews then alot of families will give it a miss, if on the other hand its family friendly then it may take off. We have too much mobile phone gaming and social media addiction that families growing with this trend wont allow further negative impacts on their children/family. Thats true - the PSVR is 50/50 - we probably will know if its successful within the first week.
Im not sure if this is wireless or not since the PSVR uses an external unit now.
The PSVR is supported by a high latency framerate set at 120Hz - that will support user - however I am unsure on users wearing glasses or contact lens. As of yet I am unsure how that will work.

Augmented Reality failed with the Microsoft Kinect but may take shape in future devices.
That would be great - can't see why it can't be done, unless it has some kind of chip dependent to work on the PS4 only.

Anyone who buys the Oculus Rift is certain to get incompatibility issues - and how exactly will hdmi transfer over wirelessly - i guess those questions are more important than who will fail or not?
