How could "any" game be GOTY 09, when most of the games aren't even out yet? Label these games contenders until all the 2009 releases have been played.
We are not analysts, we are GAMERS!
Frankly, I can't see how Twitter or Facebook can make a difference on Xbox Live? Instead of Microsoft spending "who knows amount of money" for partnership services which are free on the PC, they should just focus on their games.
It's not good being a jack of all trades and being a master of none.
after collecting all those stars in Super Mario 64, all I got was a birthday cake. How could I ever forget that? :\
I'd much rather pay my cellphone bill then pay-2-play for any MMORPG.
Marathon which was developed by Bungie was the first FPS to feature dual-wielding which is no surprise that Halo 2 did in fact revolutionized it. What Bungie started at the end of 1994, perfected it in 2004.
The only reason why I'd think hardcore gamers would hate the Wii is because they probably rely heavily on HD graphics, HD sound, and overall just prefer a normal controller.
Nice, I have to check this game out.
I prefer quieter and lower power consumption then faster and higher power consumption.
I'm done trying to guess if GT5 will come out this year or the next. For now, I'll believe it when I see it. =)
True but in real war, dual-wielding although unconventional is sometimes a necessity in which circumstances are desperate and chaotic.
I stopped supporting GameStop a long time ago. I can find newer titles for a lower price at Amazon.com or older titles with a lot lower prices on eBay.
If I ever need to resell a game, I'll just put it up on eBay or craigslist.
The 2 biggest headlines this year have been the Natal & PS3 Slim. I don't see a problem with either because I'm not in the IT field but as a consumer, I'm one lucky SOB.
Mine are:
1. The Last Guardian
2. Gran Turismo 5 & Forza Motorsport 3
3. Starcraft 2
4. Heavy Rain
5. Alan Wake
6. Bioshock 2
7. Final Fantasy XIII
8. God of War 3
9. Nostalgia
10. Halo Reach
I maybe the only one in the world but I personally don't care for artbooks, figurines, night-vision goggles, multi-player betas for a game a year away, special in-game items or powers, soundtracks, etc.
The only pre-order incentive that I like are clothing-related. For instance at Gamecrazy, I pre-ordered Batman Arkham Asylum and I got an exclusive Joker T-shirt which I can wear in real life and no Hot Topic doesn't carry it.
Sadly in this economy, I still have a Silver Live membership which means I spend most of my online time on PSN. So to me, Xbox Live isn't worth its Gold, although when I had it back on the regular Xbox it was a great experience nonetheless.
This is probably why I buy all my multi-platform games for my PS3. I don't want to buy Modern Warfare 2 on the XBox 360 and not be able to play it online because I can't afford the $50. PSN is where its at for me.
The Goomba's may have the dumbest A.I. but they are just hilarious to watch but sometime in our lives we all have run into some goombas and have died, lol!
I would like to make a couple of valid points to these bats. The 1st & 2nd party developers of Sony are all "console-based developers." The 1st and 2nd party developers with the exception of some 3rd party developers are all "well-known PC/Mac developers." Bioware, Bethseda, Epic, Bungie, Valve etc, ALL STARTED on the PC/Mac. It wouldn't make sense for these developers to ignore their "primary fanbase." That's like saying LittleBigPlanet is both on the PS3 &a...
I'm not surprised. Crysis has always been the graphics king.
GRAND THEFT AUTO III, VICE CITY, AND SAN ANDREAS. Grand Theft Auto is the reason why the PS2 succeeded. All those other games were great but as a system seller? No.
Grand Theft Auto outsold Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. Did you guys start out with the PS2 Slim to leave out the power of the GTA franchise just because it also came out on Xbox? Pffft!
While all the buzz were around Halo 2 & Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA III came out from nowhere AND DESTROYED THE COMPETITION. ...
