The most interesting review about a game I have no intention of buying that I've ever read. Saying that I might buy it.
I love the idea and concept of this but it's just far too garish for me, even the trailer left my head swimming :-(
Thank you :-)
so many things in the pipeline, possible multiplayer, a peaceful mode were the locals are friendly and you can just explore and build.
hopefully they add some more story elements too but even now there is loads to do
agree, it will be in the winter one so I'll pick it up then.
I've played and enjoyed both 3 and 4 but there doesn't seem like enough new content for me to get this, certainly not at £35 is selling for on steam at the minute. Will prob grab in when it's in the Steam Sale
This completely passed me by on 360. After reading the review I'm tempted to go and get it especially with the infinite play through thingy.
def worth checking out, it got its first decent update yesterday. Tweaking lots of stuff and chucking a couple of new maps into the mix
I've been following this story with interest and it's great to see content like this up on frugal gaming.
A week on from reviewing it & I'm still loving it. Was disappointed not to hear more about upcoming DLC @E3 but I'm guessing the standalone T-Bone missions cant be far away
Some of my favorite games have been 7 or even 6 out of 10. Starchild if you thinks it's worthy of a 9 why don't you write a review? Having played both 1 & 2, which I enjoyed this just seems like more of the same but a bit prettier, which is not a bad thing but definitely not worthy of a 9.
9's and 10's should be truly standout ground breaking games that you don't see very often. The new infamous is clearly great hence the 7 but 8's and 9's? ...
Phil is doing a great job, xbox will knock it out the park this E3. Now all they need to do is get rid of Yusuf Mehdi, that bloke really makes my skin crawl and he seems about as gamer focused as Mattrick did
Most MMO's tend to leave me cold and believe me I've tried a few. Might give this one a go and see if it sticks. I just wish they wouldn't make the first 10 or so hours such a sleep inducing borefest
I wish I could 100% this! It might take the rest of my life, some of those achievements are so hard, even watching a couple of video guides I've struggled. Great game though and I keep diving back in :-)
I have tried both 1 and 2 and just really don't see the appeal. The game engine itself is truly awful and I think the game is just way over hyped. I do see the appeal for some but it just doesn't do anything for me
I'm really enjoying wolfenstein, sounds design is especially a stand out for me. Great review, well written and it's made me get my lazy carcass of the sofa to boot the game up and dive back in.
I'm hoping the guys developing the new Doom pay close attention to what's been done here.
I really enjoyed Flockers, I'm kind of hoping that it ends up on console too, I loved lemmings on my SNES. lets face it Sony have sat on the rights to the Lemmings IP for years and not done anything with them, so maybe Flockers can fill the void.
its funny that, cause you used to have to pay for cheat codes before the internet, publishers would have 0800 numbers in the back of instruction booklets that you could call for cheats and hints and tips, oh how time and an ever connected world change things
I have no problem with cosmetic microtransactions in any game and for certain smaller or indie developers they can provide a vital revenue stream to keep them going, ontop of that its great to see some individuality.
I do have a problem with paygates or pay to win, however these are normally offered in F2P shovelware I try to avoid.
Your point about Ryse, again doesn't bother me as it was competitive CO-OP rather than full on deathmatch style multiplay...
If your thinking about picking this up it's 25% off at the min in the Steam Summer Sale, well worth it imho
