exactly. the only problem is the one the hardcore gamer makes up in their mind bc they aren selfish and entitled. these games usually arent for the hardcore gamer all of the time. they are to garner more interest in said game from gamers that probably havent tried them yet.

agreed 100%. the gaming industry always has an abundance of pleasing games for me. im always happy.

sometimes that is a part of the design.

it depends for me. im hooked on zelda atm and its amazing. but i do enjoy racing simulators like gran turismo. and gta5 more than saints row. the level of graphics depends on the game and genre. we need both imo.

i think its because of the rapid progression and graphical leaps we have seen in the past that we have hit some sort of brief plateau. i do believe it is and has been compensated by progression in 3D, portability, VR and processing, imo. which isnt a bad thing. everyone has their preferences but im happy with how the industry is progressing minus MT's etc. in the home console industry.

glad to see yuna as an honorable mention. i loved niko in heavenly sword too. how about ellie? she kicked ass. just an awsome character and personality all around

idk man there is just something about buying a new console or handheld in its infancy and/or unsupported stages that has you playing anything you can to justify your $300 purchase. the vita did this to me and its not a bad thing. i unexpectedly enjoyed a lot more titles than i though i would. i wouldnt have touched or now loved borderlands2 if it werent for vita. same with minecraft. now i will be checking out LA noir on switch just because of it. im completely hooked on zeldaBoTW now and i h...

nomad was a beast but ate too much batteries and carrying games around was a bitch. the psp was a beast too. gta on the go; my biggest gripe with the vita.

yeah im just saying. im way more down with oled than 4k. as in, id be more satisfied with a higher end oled tv as opposed to a 4k tv with shitty specs etc. talking about in my budget range of course. not all oled screens and 4k tvs are treated the same.

tell that to the surge of indie games over the last few generations. mario would have looked prettier, thats it. there is and was nothing about mario's gameplay and formula that ever demanded power. not the physics, lack of massive number of enemies on screen with complex interactions nor the environmental effects that ever demanded a lot of power to make what mario was and is today. so i wholeheartedly disagree.

mario kart is dope. mario odyssey is stellar. more jrpgs and online fps please. would kill for some assasins creed ports too.

we were suppose to get an unrealistically amazing sandbox game with crazy ahead-of-its-time technology. XD

it probably is, resolution-wise. im way more down with OLED tv's than 4k tho.
