If you cannot afford something, wait until you can. I know you were brought up in the society where consumerism is almost a religion. I observe this here, people just HAVE to buy something day 1. It's sick.
6 years into this generation and we still get those bashing articles. You never get tired with your xenophobia. Let's face it: Sony and Nintendo are bad because they're foreign. Microsoft abandoned hardcore, fine. They charge for free services, fine. Apple prod...
Still, there are people who are willing to pay more to get quality. Maybe not in US. American people seem to prefer cheap, junk goods they can quickly replace with other junk.
I don't like Borderlands either. Why is it funny that some people have different gaming taste than the majority?
I remember how they lied about Rage being open world. I don't believe them now.
When I watch gameplays like this, I'm thinking about next gen. Interaction with environment, multiple paths to the solution, smart AI - this should be next gen and future of gaming. Not resolution, framerate, GPU performance or social gimmicks included in games. And definitely not F2P crappy MMOs with the same boring fantasy setting or shooters that repeat the same Quake-style scheme. Well, ok, they're fine for teenagers but I'd like to have some choice over them.
I look at my shelf and see a selection of fine PS3 only games. I look again and I see a fine working console with accessories, all Sony branded. Yep, it's been successful. I don't care about stock market. I'm a gamer not a shareholder.
Selling 360 way before Christmas. It's gathered dust for too long. I'd like to play Halo 4 but one game doesn't justify keeping it.
Draperc: actully this is true. If you don't pay Gold, you get demos a week later. So you do pay for them in a way.
So, the avatar of yours is your real life girlfriend?
I'm not English native but why not treat "zeroes" as a verb, like "ground goes to zero"?
About Kojima's trolling: when Snake takes out his holomap, on top of it there's a text "iDroid beta version 1.02" ;)
Stolen and sold in Poland for a typical release price of around 45 euros so that some random people who just happened to walk into the shop at that time could earn much, much more off auctions.
Makes sense to me. Sure.
If this "unification" would mean adopting US standards, laws and patents, I'd prefer to keep those differences and keep my freedom I have now.
We had freedom marches against ACTA law last year. They would turn into riots if anything like Millennium Act was to be introduced.
Sony's history is at least defined as a history of tried opportunities, even if some failed, while most other companies just play it safe and produce the same kind of mass products because it sells.
Another thing is, I can't really understand why somebody buys a modern gaming device and wants to play old games on it, all over again. I prefer new games, new experiences. Why live in the past so much?
I'm planning to play it through but I wouldn't even think about touching multiplayer. Most games don't need MP while it's being shoved into them.
I remember how Fallout 3 was a mess even on PC, random desktop quits and freezes, 4 years ago, same engine. Bethesda should switch business to growing vegetables because their programmers are pathetic.
There's a short video somebody made. It may contain spoilers, beware http://youtu.be/uhGjMhHl4QY
Edit: ah, it's in the news already.
Oh Kotaku. You're lying again. Almost tricked me. Almost.
Great. Now how about 10-15 non-casual titles that could make me interested in WiiU that I haven't played?
I tried XBL demo and deleted it after 10 minutes. Now I don't care when or if it's released in EU PSN.
It's not bandwidth which limits console version in terms of players. It has more to do with memory and processing power. 24 players in such an advanced engine is close to a miracle anyway on 512 MB machines. Next gen consoles will have more RAM and better CPU/GPUs so player count will increase. When BF4 comes out, it'll be time for me to buy PS4. I've never been keen on early adoption but this time I'll make an exception.
Enjoy your expensive crap, Xbox users.
