I am pretty sure Respawn ran out of funding, and where EA was unwilling to invest further, Microsoft stepped in with funding, advertising, and a deal concerning the use of their cloud servers, in exchange fro exclusivity. Also I have read multiple times that Respawn chose the release date for TF2 (before BF1 and COD release dates were announced) and wouldn't budge from it, so that is on them. EA did fail them with marketing, and I am worried about their new ownership.
I would have bought dead space 4 in a heart beat for 60 USD on release. Not factoring in any way over the top microtransaction injection in a single player co/op game.
Personally I am waiting for a sale. Being single player only, there is no incentive not to wait.
Pretty sure they did away with towers this time.
I bought Wolfenstein The New Order on release for 60 USD, I enjoyed it, but in hindsight I wish I had gotten it on sale, as I have 7 hours in it. Unless there is a PVP element, and buying it on release comes with the benefit of full servers I see no reason to buy this or shadow of war on release.
They were free in game drops that the game handed out like candy. You couldn't buy them with real money if you wanted to. It was not the massive disadvantage you claim.
Thanks
How is that particular concern petty? They have likely already payed EPIC millions for rights to the engine, and I think their concern that EPIC could utilize/develop engine features specifically for their battle royale game and withhold them from bluehole, which is clearly a conflict of interest, is legitimate. I don't know why Bluehole is worried, Fortnite looks like battle royale for 5 year olds. Completely agree this should all be discussed internally and shouldn't be news.
Titanfall 2 and Dishonored 2
This game is so over rated, it isn't even the best zelda game
Could you please point out to me where he specifies he is doing this to help the one percent of pc owners with 5000 dollar rigs. Thanks!
I could be mistaken here. As I remember it, in Far Cry 4, you could only take outposts in co op, you couldn't do any story missions or boss outposts. Isn't being able to play the ENTIRE game in co op in FC5 a step forward. If lack of saved progression in FC5 is a big enough deal for enough people, hopefully they have time to implement it. I loved 3 and 4, but that ubisoft would release primal at all has me worried about this title. Along with the removal of towers, and this "go a...
Why does anyone really like billy lurk? She isn't that interesting of a character. So disappointing that dishonored 2 forced us to retrace our steps from the original, as well as reusing a villain. Now we are getting DLC that looks far too similar to the originals.
I don't know if this is confirmed or a rumour, but from software is supposed to have a contract with sony for one or two more exclusives. As far as the next game having three installments, the president of from software was never on board with there being sequels, that was a deal the previous president struck. I would say that there is a small chance we are getting a bloodborne sequel, but more likely as you said we will get a stand alone new ip that is similar to bloodborne/souls.
Agree on the issue with grinding for blood vials. I thing a lot of new players are turned off by the required farming. I disagree about the bell system, I feel it is far superior to the souls game. I can ring it and play the game while it finds me a partner. As opposed to dark souls, where I am forced to run around by the bonfire, rushing to a sign before someone else gets it, but they usually do.
They have 3 games currently in development. Armored core, a game miyazaki has only described as "weird", and an rpg, described as a game "fans expect from from software."
That is an optional boss and not required to progress through the game. You were also right next to a shortcut you could have opened that would have made your life easier.
I think there is an underlying fear that enough people are going to cry about the series difficulty that From Softwre will dumb down there games, and that the games will lose part of what makes them special for the existing fanbase.
I implore you to give it another shot someday. Maybe pick at it, instead of banging your head against it. There is nothing wrong with looking up online or watching videos for tips, and more specifically how to get an item in the first level that will allow you to summon help, NPC or another player if you have ps plus. I don't play much anymore but many enjoy helping new players. Bloodborne is an example of a difficult, not impossible game, that was very carefully designed to be exactly as...
Yes they do. I remember some idiot on rock paper shotgun reviewed Hyper Light Drifter and gave it a lower score because he basically sucked at it.
