What sucks is that this is actually a solid arcade shooter underneath its sketchy unlock system. Has a lot of cheese, but if you're okay with that, it's actually a hell of a lot of fun. Tweaking a couple numbers in the progression system would solve 90% of what's wrong with it. So close to greatness it's maddening.
I say it every night, every day, every afternoon, and it's so true.
Hope it's a true remaster and not another "Darkening of Tristram".
Was it FPS games or just Xbox Live?
I've stated this sentiment before. I immediately noticed huge imbalances in BotW, despite some of its ideas being amazing. If you have a couple hours to spare, Joseph Anderson's breakdown video goes over them in quite a bit of detail.
Is there a word for anti-nostalgic? People who immediately dismiss anything older than 5 years as bad? Been seeing that a lot recently.
ALLTP may be smaller in scale (due to the tech at the time and much smaller team working on it) but it has an incredibly tight and elegant design, introduction and mechanics that honestly the 3D Zeldas have had a very hard time topping. The first 3D Zelda with combat I didn't struggle with was probably BotW, but even then you have sever...
Let's see if I can find something we can all agree on:
This game is controversial.
Really hope they pull this off. I love the World of Darkness and have played several V:TM campaigns with Werewolf modules added in them.
Sounds like there are going to be some deep roleplaying and non-combat opportunities. I love it.
I've been wanting a gritty story-focused reboot of Pong for decades now...
I like the style of this game, definitely putting it on my list after the immense backlog of games I have to play...
Interesting story, but growing a beard and squinting a bit doesn't equal "dead".
Always down for some Siege. Hope this new content is good...
This looks like some hand-done changes on top of mass filtering, but honestly really good considering how many images needed to be redone.
Except that it's an Xbox exclusive. Awesome for having crossplay between Xbox and PC, but there's still a huge barrier there.
Looks cool, but I think they overdid the screen shake.
Looks interesting. Animations are a little clunky right now, but the artstyle reminds me of Zelda: Link to the Past, one of my all-time favorites. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.
I did think Primal was clever, but it was also clearly made in a year. Not nearly the polish and step-up from its predecessor as say Far Cry 2 was, for example. Really good series though, despite the lack of innovation over the last couple of titles.
Kinda shows how far they've fallen into irrelevancy. Just started playing Prey last night, and it's the most Looking Glass Studios-esque game I've played since they shut down. Seems to be a real GOTY-contender with real player agency, emergent gameplay and replayability.
