DF guys are so Xbox friendly, so now they have rough time with 3rd game in a row that perform better on PS5 (after AC Valhalla and CoD Cold War). They literally spent more than 30% of time on explaining how this must be a bug, due to pandemic and other stuff :) Of course it probably is, still they seem to put a lot of effort in doing damage control for MS.

Good decision. Game would have tanked otherwise. At the moment for multiplayer games that are not the part of most popular franchises (CoD, BF, etc.) PS+, XBL Gold, GamePass is the only way to go on consoles.

Well it still might add something like 4k unlocked framerate mode to God of War. Right now you can choose locked 4k 30fps and unlocked 1080p. Adding unlocked 4k is not a lot of work, this is realistic expectation.

What is talking about? Porting to PlayStation would take years? What? Preparing console (joypad) friendly interface may take a while (but it is already done for Xbox), but porting such a relatively simple game would take just a few months. And even if they don't have PlayStation 4 devkit they can outsource it to external development team. Also he provides no explanation why they don't have any PlayStation 4 dev kits. They are thousands of them in possession of even smallest indie deve...

The statement is from 505, not Remedy.

Well there are more Sony fans than MS fans at this site, still the Spider-Man Miles Morales alone makes a great launch title. And there is a chance that Ratchet and Gran Turismo may join it at launch or within launch window (Feb or March 2021). Horizon 2 shall be also quite near to finish line, it's so many years of development time since the original.

Even if not as good as expected, Killzone was the AAA title at launch. And few months later there was the Infamous Second Son.

Another Damage Control article.
""By comparison, DFC Intelligence mentioned Sony to be focused on 'short-term sales' rather than long-term vision, and with tech giants like Amazon, Apple, Google and Samsung still largely out on the fringes of the games industry market, Microsoft may have to compete more with Nintendo than Sony in that regard.". There is no evidence towards such interpretation. Stadia had "vision" and it failed miserably. Same with Xb...

For me the most controversial point of review is this sentence: Graphically, it holds up well, however it has not changed much since the original. 8/10. WTF? There may be different opinions on narrative and story, but it is one of the most beautiful games ever created. Saying it didn't change much since original is just BS.

I am sure that Sony is going to offer something like PlayStation Pass. They will sell Digital Edition bundled with the 1y Pass so it will have a good value. Otherwise most people will not bother.

Well PS5 is BC with PS4, so I don't get it, why people are making so much noise about it on MS side. I do not think that (limited in fact) compatibility to X360 is such an important feature. There not many games from that era that people really need to revisit. And when it comes to smooth transition and BC with games that are still played yet do not have Next Gen versions (typical for fighting games) both MS and Sony are compatible so what is the big deal?

Another Damage Control article from Forbes. Does MS owns them or just pays them?

Well nothing new that MS has a lot "support" by different websites. Remember when all the "experts" were predicting PS4 to be the next Sega Dreamcast? And MS was supposed to take over the whole business. Now it is similar with all these articles from Forbes, CNN, Windows Central etc.

I cannot stand this approach by indie devs. They always find an excuse for not doing things properly. Seriously while in current gen CPU was a bottleneck for reaching 60fps, with next gen Ryzen CPUs there are no excuses - games shall be able to run in stable 60fps without problems. At least in performance modes with 1080p/1440p resolution. If somebody is not able to reach this stable framerate maybe he lacks the skills for this job and should start selling hotdogs or whatever.
