This game and the hype they are pushing reminds me of BRINK. BRINK looked great and had a great concept, but it turned out to be boring and lacked staying power.
It could be a port for airflow
MS has over the last 1-2 years been focusing its efforts on expanding the customer base of the Xbox Brand. Look at it from MS viewpoint. In their eyes MS already has the Hardcore Gamer locked up on their side. After all, the Hardcore Gamer stuck with them through the Red Ring fiasco. They continue to Stay with Xbox Live when every other comparable online service is free. In their eyes MS has the Core Gamer firmly on their side. So how do they expand and gain new customers? They modify ...
$19 Million is a total loss across all TT divisions. It is not related to only the games mentioned here. I hate when writers mislead readers with slanted information to entice readers to their site.
To me Half Life had a great opening...
This is how they will sell the "always on" concept to the masses. Offer a low price with a subscription service...
The same was said about the PSP, yet it went on to sell 75 Million units. If you like handheld gaming buy it, if you don't skip it and leave it on the shelf.
I don’t let a review score influence my game purchase. I typically watch the trailers and play demos. Normally this is the best way to go. Sometimes the trailers are misleading, but generally you can still tell if the publisher is hiding something.
Stay with your gut instinct…
I own all three system.... But I perfer to play on the PS3 due to free PSN and I have more friends on PSN. The differences in console performance are generally minor but they are blown way out of proportion as a way to attract readers.
IMO these comparisons are worthless.
This is BS.... The game plays fine on my PS3, while my Xbox360 just sits quitely aside watching.
Don't believe the hype, just buy the game on your favorte console and enjoy it for what it is... A GAME
I really hate these type of comparisons. They only cater to fanboys...
I personally liked MOHW, and didn't see the reason for the negative reviews. I find it strange that gamers and journalists clamor for new FPS games, but denounce anything made that does not have COD in the title.
This is just another example of how the unstructured gaming review system impacts the gaming industry negatively. The end result… more games sequels and less innovation and risk tasking by developers to produce new IPs.
This lawsuit was started by people who lost nothing in the PSN/Hack. They simply are trying to take advantage of the situation. They were not PSN Plus member, and hence did not lose anything but access to a free service. Hence the Judge dismissed thier claims.
Wow… I see why you are cast as a Sony hater
You may believe your advice is worthwhile, but I doubt Sony, or most PS gamers would agree. Much of your claims are outdated and seem to suggest that you haven’t even used a PS3 for quite some time. I’ll address the single sidedness in most of your items of advice. The only sound recommendation you make is about controlling the entry price of the next console.
1. I think everyone agrees that the high price and p...
If there is a website dedicated just to selling stolen Xbox Live accounts, this problem is way larger than it appears on the surface. Knowing 100 people who have not been hacked out of several million accounts is not a good indicator of security.
My account has never been hacked so there must not be a problem right?
Like clockwork you can set your calendar too...
Walmart X-mas displays go up in late Sept, and the Sony holiday bashing beging shortly thereafter!
I don't generally buy used games, as I normally pick them up close to the release date. However, this is a lame argument by the developer IMO. You don't hear car manufactures complaining about used car sales impacting their bottom line. Now if you want to talk about piracy hurting your bottom line I'm all ears...
In my world the Half Life series would come first....
I'd like to see an article...
The five Gaming Website of Least Value to Gamers. Clearly with articles like this they should make the top of the list. I own both consoles and play on both, so these types of articles are simply disturbing because they attempt to steer gamers into one camp or the other. Top of my list for useless gaming websites is:
1. MSXBOX-WORLD.COM
Software sales only account for physical disc sales. I'm sure the gap would be differant if digital downloads were added to the sales figures.
I bought both games via D/L on PS4
