Well it better be good, after a bucket load of delays and broken games, i dnt think we could stand another year of that.
Strategy games, one of the few neglected genre of gaming for consoles. Happily welcome such news
If what u think makes a game bad is its launch and initial performance issues, ac unity will fit the bill, but if u think a bad game is due to the fundamentals of the game being bad, that being gameplay, story, immersion, then ac unity simply isn't the worst. Now that its all patched up (admittedly they should have done a good enough job in the first place to not need to) its now a very enjoyable game. Nowhere near as bad as some will say, and certainly nowhere near the worst game of the ...
To me a gimmick is the word used to describe a new concept or innovation that ultimately proves to be impractical. Like 3d tv for home tvs, nice idea but no one wants to permanently wearing those stupid glasses, and the 3d where u dnt have to is poor and gives people a headache.
I think the turning point was when Phil spencer was appointed head of the xbox division. Ever since he took the reins the xbox one has been looking prettier and prettier to consumers.
I haven't played gears of war, and i dnt really plan to. I knw im not the only one who doesn't like games that have a metric ton of qte. This has brilliant graphics no doubt, but that's all its really got going for it.
Qte fest of a game.
Actually Phil spencer has said that he wont put any effort in to get it to Playstation, simply because its a rival. Thing is playstation are historically more guilty than xbox at making third party exclusive where the game before wasn't. Metal gear solid 4 springs to mind.
I just wonder, what would have been the metacritic score of this game if it was nearly bug free?
So what was everyone's reaction when Microsoft did this with tomb raider? Sorry but your hypocrisy is showing.
I would go for the alps, in sure that might be on their shortlist of potential locations. Maybe south America, or the Indonesian islands.
IM with u man, but truth will always be gameplay>graphics.
When Sony make mgs4 and street fighter an exclusive Sony fans dnt panic, but when Microsoft make tomb raider an exclusive, then every Sony fan loses their minds!!!!
that is hypocrisy. No way around it. You can spout ur little reasons as to why Sony is noble for making a game an exclusive and why Microsoft is evil for doing the exact same thing truth is, the Sony ponies all want to gave their cake and eat it.
I think doing any stealth game is a tricky one to pull off because people have a bunch of different elements that they think make a good stealth game, intelligent ai. How intelligent? Well not stupid but not a mind reader either, a little bit of action? None? Or the choice to freely mix up as u please? All these questions have different answers for different people, so yes, doing any stealth game is a brave thing to attempt. Personally best stealth game. Dishonored.
Same goes for unity, most reviews are either 8/10 or 9/10. Ofcourse the technical issues being the most prevalent.
U actually share the same opinion as most who have actually played the game, most hate is coming from people who are just jumping on the bandwagon. And going on about the glitches.
Ill bet that it was reported before the patch.
@ares84hu, i referring to the people who got it before release, like people who have a friend who works at a game store or something, gotta remember as well this isn't widespread either, its a few complaints and thanks to the internet blown out of proportion. Many people i knw say they dnt have any frame rate issues at all.
Dude. Just. Stop
Best way to do it is to say a game will be released in a certain quarter of the year eg. Q4. But when we r all in the q3, the developers narrow it down to an actual date. Its a nice middle ground for everyone, gamers less likely to be disappointed by a delay, developers dnt gave to stress about finishing on an exact deadline, and the publishers get reassured of the release window.
