I'll tell you WHY the Wii has dominated BOTH consoles - simply because it caters to casual gamers and people who enjoy family games. That's the only reason. There are no ACTUAL hardcore games (except maybe Zelda) for the Nintendo Wii. It has flopped in-terms of appealing to hardcore gamers such as myself. That is why I own a 360 and a PS3.
I agree with Four Zero Two.
This applies, generally, to casual gamers. They don't want to pay too much because they're not intending on playing it on a regular every-day basis.. while the more hardcore gamers are looking for that, and are willing to pay that much.
It's these assholes whom seek money that will bring an end to gaming.

Wahh! Wah! A child is found dead because he was addicted to Call of Duty 4... okay! Though it is probably truth, I do not see it as being the child's fault... it's the parents whom are at fault in this situation. They should have been monitoring their child play these games (possibly just checking in every so often) and if they found that he was getting too out-of-hand, they should've acted then... but apparently they let it go too far. This is what happens when a bad parent neglects their ch...
Anybody who is a fan of Metal Gear Solid would agree that this is one of the best in the series. The ONLY disappointing segment of this game was the implementation of the return of Big Boss, which just showed that Kojima acknowledged fanboy requests and acted upon them.
It was a brilliant end for Snake - he has nothing left to fight for... his father's dead, his mother's dead... the world's biggest threat, Liquid, has been defeated... Solidus is no more.. what else could he figh...
Some people truly need to spend time on something else which doesn't consist of decrypting hex codes. Really, that's just sad.. :|
The general conflict stems from the concept of 13 year olds and 14 year olds owning PS3s and keeping that as their only system. They probably just can't afford both, so they give a bad rating to a game that they feel may encourage current fans of "their console" to turn to the 360.
According to what I've heard, he claims to be good at Call of Duty 4 as well as Halo 3. Let me just say if I played this fool on 360, I would put a shame to his name. Really. How embarassing would it be for a wannabe celebrity making such claims and then failing to live up to them? Quite, I'd say.

Nothing really stunning about it. We sit through about three minutes of failed attempts to gain access to the server, then he walks around. I could see if it showed an all-out war or something, then it would deserve being referred to as STUNNING. But this? Far from the definition of the word.
I do not see what the Hell is wrong with Metal Gear Solid 4's amazing cutscenes. It's a waste of money if you're only going to buy the game to get a cheap new adrenaline rush (much like most casual gamers do, in which case I would suggest taking the game back altogether as well as your PS3, because you obviously don't deserve either one).
