What a s*** month for games.
Pretty sure that if you have to write articles about something not being dead - it's probably pretty close to dead. If not dead.
Personally, I'm the same. I play a lot of multiplatform titles and I also have a high end 4k television. I want my games to look and perform the best they can on console. So I play all multiplatform on my one x. I also have a PS4 Pro and mainly play Sony's undeniably better exclusives on it. PS4 also seems to cater to single player gaming a bit more.
I really don't understand the hate that comes from PS4 fanboys on this website. It's honestly quite ridiculo...
I have no idea who's buying these games anymore
To be fair, all the hype articles and nothing to show for it is getting pretty old. I'm sure it will be a great game. It's Naughty Dog. But they really need to stop hyping things so far in advance.
Yeah. I really don't get all the hate for the game. I'm having fun with it. It's got some issues that they will need to patch but what game upon release doesn't these days.
The critics in the entertainment industry as a whole need to stop drinking the koolaid and actually form their own opinions for once.
Microsoft already knows they have lost this gen. That's no secret to anyone - even Microsoft. Yes, apart from a few long running franchises that deliver quality every few years or annually (Forza) - their first party games suck. Yes, they're too infrequent.
That's why they released the Xbox one X. They know they don't have to studios to compete with Sony and Nintendo right now so they focused on hardware that delivers. They did that because they want you to...
That would make sense if gamer's club unlocked still existed.
Personally, I bought it on release day. After Sport, I'm not sure I could bring myself to buy another GT game on day one. I'm not sure if PD needs a bigger team, less ambition, or hardware that doesn't exist yet. All I know is that I'm getting tired of buying a new Gran Turismo that's only 50% finished on release day. I feel like GT5 was the same way. At this point, even though it's still in my collection I haven't put the disc in my Pro for months.
I was pretty hyped for Metal Gear Solid 4. Even bought the Ps3 when it was released. I felt a bit let down by it but overall, worth the wait. I had the same hype for MGSV but was severely disappointed with the "finished" product. Halo 3 was pretty legendary, the marketing for that game was top notch - it definitely had me excited for release night.
A critic at that. Because you know they always have the most solid opinions about media. There's no way the critic pool is filled with people who are oversaturated with entertainment products causing a general distaste in life. /s
Maybe it's just me but I didn't think The Last Guardian was all that great.
@ArmrdChaos
I couldn't have said it better and wholeheartedly agree. The "my console is better than yours" comments really need to stop. It's derogatory and unnecessary. Coming from a person who owns PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, I love both in their own ways. Why complain? Competition is necessary and makes each brand stronger. If MS and Nintendo stopped making consoles and Sony had a monopoly on the market, do yoi really think they would still care about your ...
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. When is Amazon not having a "blowout sale" where prices are "up to 90% off?"
Then when you check the site, the sale has already ended and you still could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else to begin with anyway.
I had issues with my launch PS4 Pro becoming so loud it sounded like a jet taking off and would shut itself down. Luckily it waa still under warranty.
Sure, it was more extensive than what this article is commenting that Sport will incorporate. But, I wasn't overly impressed with the lackluster collection of "premium cars" that were available in 5. The rest being recycled from a previous entry. When I learned that was the case with at least 80% of the cars, I was more than a little disappointed.
Maybe Poly needs to expand their team so that they can cover more ground over a 5 year period. Because, honestly,...
The worst thing about these mid-gen upgrades are that they don't work like PC. I have a Playstation 4 Pro and a 4k tv. I haven't noticed that much of a difference aside from the fact that the visuals look a little cleaner. It's not like I can turn my settings up to Ultra to match PC performance or unlock the frame rate so that it can soar. I'm limited to however much optimization that the developer wants to incorporate within each game.
The Xbox One X may b...
I think it's time to put Poly out to pasture. I haven't been excited for a GT game since 5. After what a disappointment 5 was, I haven't been able to muster the same excitement over GT. Especially after playing Forza. I know I'll get hammered for saying that but fun factor and content always takes the cake over a few hyper realistic driving settings with a few "premium" cars. Its starting to make me wonder why Turn 10 can crank out a solid release every few years but...
I think everyone is right about the lack of need for more publishers services, all charging $5 to $10 a month. That would add up rather quickly.
On the other hand, making subscription services such as PSNow and Xbox game pass more affordable would be great. Likely making them more money in the long run of things. If PSNow followed the Netflix price of $8-10 per month, I would have no problem keeping that subscription going, allowing for a multitude of games from several di...
Weak. Looks like a low budget PT walking simulator.
