Ooooof hopefully it's not true. Don't get me wrong if priced well the first 3 games are great when it comes to story. But I think it's the MP what makes Gears.
I liked 4 not as much as 1,2,3. 5 not played(single player). Judgement was the only one I really couldn't get into single player or online.
Just don't see how the multiplayer would work? Unless they do what they did with Halo MCC? Also Gears 1 Remake/remaster is already available on Xbox and Xbox app on pc so I imagine it's just going to be that but with a native series port as well as a steam and ps5 release.
How is steam a different story. I have heard so many stories over the last year. Exclusives are anti consumer. Exclusives don't matter. PC is the main platform for example.
You would think a game coming from a great dev such as obsidian. Who one made Fallout New Vegas and The Outer Worlds. You would think it would of sold a lot better on Steam alone. Not 6 mill between steam, PC and pc gamepass, Xbox and Xbox Gamepass.
It sold as 1.5 million as of November 2024 4 months ago. Sony has as far as I know have not given any more numbers.
Could be 1.6 could be 5 could be nearly 10 I don't know.
If we use the astro bot logic plenty have people used. Seems a bit low? Considering there is 35mil GP subs (at a guess). Then the 100 million+ steam users.

Not steering the pot here. But why not buy it? You clearly seem to be enjoying the game. No point rushing it just because the rental contract is coming up with MS.
If it's a financial reason then fair enough. But if your enjoying it and like playing it slow. Then i believe you get a discount due to GP?
Yup, Pay for games and support the devs and the industry. Who knew buying games helps the industry stay alive.
I'm not the kind to pre order a digital game until a day or two before release so I can get it downloaded and ready. I'll be getting the standard edition.

Had a quick go on it last night. Didn't get to play the Xbox version but did play AoE4 on Xbox. Looks and playstation great. Need to see if keyboard and mouse works.

Agreed, I loved the 360 spite it's shoddy reliability early on. I loved the console and I loved the games. I loved Xbox live and I liked Xbox was doing.
But the final 2-3 years was bad. Kinect this kinect that kinect kinect kinect. Then they revealed the Xbox one with mandatory kinect. I lost all interest until like a year later after they dropped the kinect requirements.
But after owning a xb1 3 times it was miles behind the Xbox 360.

I'm kind of shocked GTA+ is now only just making its way to PC. Thought for sure that would of been on PC years ago. Considering it's a subscription.
It went the way of project spark just much sooner.
