I'm really not worried about the difficulty being toned down. Accessibility does not equal easier. When I first played Dark Souls I hadn't touched Demons Souls at all. My first character in Dark Souls took about 43 hours to reach level 42 and get to Sen's Fortress, and this was without doing any real optional stuff. The only thing I did optional with that character up to that point was enter the Dragon Covenant.

Would people reporting for mixed tags please remain consistent. Yesterday the console tags were inappropriate for a list of games defining this generation. Today for a review they are I see no inherent difference.
At this point I refuse to be either excited or concerned until I see something substantial from From Software. A larger team to build a more realized world sounds alright to me. Although as someone who is slowly pushing through Dark Souls for the first time these past two weeks, I am concerned what that exactly means in terms of storytelling.
