I agree that it's a little early to tell how well it's going to sell based on the competition, but I would say that the Switch is reaching out to the non-Nintendo supporters. I haven't been a Nintendo guy since SNES (owned a DS and 3DS though) but I did buy a Switch. I'm hoping that they're able to flesh out the library with some quality games. Zelda and Mario Kart 8 aren't enough.... (then again, my PS4 backlog is huge and Forza is coming out so I'm not sure I'...
Another reason why I shouldn't have purchased in the first week... lol. ;)
Just b/c both games are set in space does not mean that they are direct competitors. One is heavily invested in multiplayer and the other is really a single player with some light interaction by other players. You may see more added on in the future, but this is an apples to oranges moment.
Sadly, Gran Turismo lost the fun factor be it in the game play or with the incredibly long wait times between games. =( Luckily, Forza is there to provide that fun factor... I enjoy the game play slightly more than Driveclub, but I think Driveclub is still rendered better - especially at night and how the cars reflect light.
Anyways, can't go wrong and the scores are justified.
Enjoying the nostalgia. I haven't played FFX since 2006. I would be happy if they brought out FFXII as well. I know it wasn't well received, but I ended up enjoying the game after spending the time with it.
Let's hope that Square can figure out the formula again for the next gen systems.
I'd be game but I already have too large a backlog of Square games. =\
Did you even read what was posted? I'm challenging the method in which Microsoft is going with the new Xbox, but also comparing it to the method which Sony did for their 3rd-gen gaming console. There are plenty of similarities.
The fanboy stuff is crap.
PS3 wanted to do everything but didn't achieve what it wanted to do. It wasn't until they focused more on games, rather than the All-In-One experience, that they started making traction. The PS4 is focusing on games, primarily, then focusing on adding functionality in other areas.
All that to say, the XBone is going for that All-In-One experience as their primary goal. It is going to offer more than the PS3 did, but is it going to be more successful than the PS3 in t...
I'd rather play solitaire on a tablet, but keep my games with proper controls.
No problems yet... installed a few apps, Killzone, Reso, and Contrast. Played Reso and a few minutes of Killzone. The unit isn't any louder than my PS3 Super Slim after a while of playing. I'd like to stand it upright and try it out, but I have to figure out the logistics of my entertainment center.
Got luck and got some nice Mk.2 lasers to help destroy the competition. Otherwise, it took a ton of time to get the proper items to beat the last boss. I'm still missing a few of the extra ships, but needed a break.
I never subscribed to Gold when I had a 360, but the Games for Gold is a sweetening of the deal. Let's just say that each company has something they are better at than the other... perhaps the next-gen will see a little closer competition.
This is exciting - something a little different. I'll be picking this up now.
Didn't get the opportunity to switch to a different bundle, but they did switch me to a launch edition. I'll at least get the console on day of release - now, I'll have to pick what game I want to play.
Nvidia commenting on this holds no bearing on the quality of games on the console and the PC. I think there's just acting hurt since both of the new consoles use AMD products.
Began life as a console player with the NES, but quickly added the PC into the mix. The consoles will always be cheaper and there are sacrifices when you're worried about attachment rate. More people are going to be able to afford 300-400.00 than they will 1000-1500.00. Ultimately, it's not...
Hmmm... mass killings? Makes me think of Hitler, Mao, Stalin/Lenin, Castro, NK Leaders, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Serbian-Bosnian war, etc, etc, etc. Who wants to bet that the amount of killings blamed on video game usage would be so infinitesimal that putting a % would be near impossible. 100 deaths out of billions?
What we deserve is to see the hackers prosecuted and receive jail time. They love to say that they hurt Sony for targeting them, but they are A. Hurting the millions of PSN users, and B. DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL!!
With PSN being down for a while now it's a nice gesture to give free content and at least add a month back on to my Plus account. For non Plus users a month isn't going to change anything. *shrug*

I don't want to attach the specific image, but some low res zooming shows that we're not talking about a camera with a zoom lens. Also has a snippet on weapons found at the scene.
I recommend people to look beyond wikileaks and see the video and dissection of the video from a different perspective before you go out there and say that they just killed XX civilians and that our troops are idiots. There's more to the story than wikileaks lets on, and really, you need to expect that the whole story isn't being told when you have a group of people that are pushing a said agenda. The same can be had for almost any news story now-a-days! We live in a world where sensa...
I absolutely enjoyed the game. There were some mechanics issues and it could be boring at certain points when treading the same path, but otherwise I really liked where they went with the story. Could be b/c I'm a bit older and have four children? The music was good.... I am pretty sure I built the road from starting point to finish. ha.
