Its not just the 3Ds. Nintendo lost the magic when they sold out to the casuals. Gamecube was the last great console they ever made and probably will make.
New Vegas improved on Fallout 3 in almost every way. Better companions, Better aiming, Better 3rd person, More complex story line, more endings, and more sex. As much as Ioved Fallout 3, Vegas was a welcome addition to iron out the kinks that fallout had.
Looks much better than R2 did. The fire didnt even glow in that game. Resistance 3 may not look like Uncharted or Killzone 2 but if they bring back the R1 magic, it wont matter.

Killzone 2 has the best AI hands down. I actually thought I was fighting real people when I played. They dont just stay in one spot and fire; They actually try to get behind you and move around in clever ways to throw you off.
