The clickbait headline used by most outlets of "Epic sues 14 year old child" really brush over what the issue is:
- Not only did he cheat, repeatedly, and keep creating new account to circumvent bans and continue to cheat,
- He promoted paid cheats and hacks for both Fortnite and other games, which breaches agreements, contracts and all sorts.
- This could've all been resolved by just removing his YouTube videoes promoting the hacks, but instead he lau...
Decent list! Forgot about most of these - The hype for No Man's Sky was incredible, and I was REALLY excited for The Division until I got a chance to play it at EGX prior to its release. Nothing like the marketing material.
Really happy for the team behind it, finally getting the game out: looks excellent!
I didn't even realise it had microtransactions..
Has been a really good surge recently of trying 4X games in different context, settings and mechanics: Blending fantasy, RPG elements, sci-fi with deep opera etc. Really good time.
With the refinement of PC-based emulators, backwards compatibility isn't really necessary unless they used hardware-based DRM to lock certain games out.
Aah, been trying to remember the name of their new game for a while, looks really good!
It is crazy how well this has done, given new IPs tend to flunk more often than not - congrats Rare!
Surely this was never in doubt? All of CDPR's previous titles are on Steam, and this was always coming to PC anyway.
Been following the development of this through the developer's Reddit posts, exciting to see it become an actual game from the early prototypes.
This is a great series highlighting women in the industry, more publications should consider articles on inclusion and diversity!
Isn't this game just "Asian boob simulator 201X" anyway?
The whole buy-a-save-slot is such a bizarre move. I can't see that being proposed by anyone other than an exec who saw the "EA / Ubisoft made 75% of its money from micro transactions" and said "how can we maximise this for us"
I LOVE Muddledash - Had the opportunity to play it at both Rezzed last year and PC Gamer Weekender this year, great little party game.

Really hope they keep the good parts of the original and improve on the frustrating bits - Was an excellent game that really should've done better than it did, but it came out during the horde of zombie survival games..
Shared trauma is supposed to be able to bring about love, nothing like dystopian future deathmatches to get the heart racing.
I haven't tried either - Fortnite looks more arcadey which I'm not a fan of, but seems to be pretty popular (and free). Should really give it a go..
At least they secured their first year of Zoo Tycoon sales.?
Will be interesting to see if Microsoft have some updates really to throw out when this inevitably happens to secure their first-week sales of their next big release.
With the massive rise of gaming streaming services emerging, I can definitely agree.
Low powered box-top streamers will replace consoles, with the gaming brands focusing on software and in-house game development.
