Yes. But most companies also try to say why theirs is a better product, not just why the other product isn't actually as good as you think it is. And if N4G didn't allow opinions, I don't think they'd have an "opinion article" category.
And the next sentence literally starts:
"HOWEVER,"
They would exploit us all so hard if they could get away with it.
It's the football game we deserve, just not the one we need right now.
Exactly. In Call of Duty a good player can take down the entire enemy team with ease. In The Last of Us, I usually end up saying "OH CRAP! THERE'S TWO OF THEM!!"
Hopefully you get the chance to play with a few friends in the future. When you go against the people who play this game like COD, you absolutely STOCKPILE supplies.
It's great Naughty Dog didn't just tack on multiplayer to say they did, though.
When it comes to characterization, Naughty Dog is in a league of its own. Even though Uncharted's storylines are slightly convoluted and can be hard to follow, it doesn't matter; the heart lies within Nathan, Sully, and everyone else they meet along the way.
The Last of Us has a much more thrilling plotline, but the characters are just as emotionally deep. Even some of their early games like Jak & Daxter had great characters. They've done so well, I'm p...
Huh. I don't even want ONE Xbox One.
Wait... you haven't even played it and you already know what score you're giving it?
Sorry, but I just have a really hard time believing that Microsoft would cut ties with a website because they gave a Sony-exclusive a good score. Giving it an average review won't sway anybody from buying it, and Microsoft would do nothing but jeopardize the website's credibility by forcing them to fudge scores.
I realize that, but isn't it possible that his opinion is genuine? And even if it isn't, you can't base your entire review on what Metacritic is giving a game.
And here I am, needing to spend money on my college education.
Perfect example, at least on a smaller scale, is Bioshock Infinites cover art. They went with a generic shooter cover because it statistically should help it sell better to consumers looking for a new game. And yet every alternate cover released is amazing in its own right, and much more deserving to be in that display case.
This is exactly why indie games are thriving. People get a brilliant idea and begin to make something they think is awesome, regardless of what a triple a publisher has to say about sales.
Indie developers are essential to the future of gaming, in my opinion.
Great read. Shadow of the Colossus was, and is still, an amazing game.
If they make a sequel called the 75 Hottest Cosplay Guys, I'm out.
If this was a game... I'd have no idea what I was doing.
This is something I'd expect from Japan... But the UK? C'mon, man.
I'm still waiting for Sony to try and cram a coffee maker into this thing, too
Same with Mario. And Donkey Kong. And Pokemon. Plus all the spinoffs like Smash Bros, Mario Party, countless Mario Karts...
Ugh. How do they not have ten thousand great Wii U titles already??
