IMO the best way to play is to choose the easy mode first up to at least the first and second bosses then choose to restart on a harder dificulty with the hardest difficulty being very challenging.

Actually playing on easy mode allows you to find all the items including the "rot" (use your mask to look for footprints) without being that frustrated. By doing this you can always look at your easy saved game map to find to find all items if you eventually play on a ...

The best way to play HZD is to use sneek combat by laying out traps and luring the enemy into them. Personally I found the whistle to be much better than a rock and it is very easy to play the first few hours of HZD on the hardest level and not get attacked although that changes during the "proving".

As for shooting an arrow you have nine different types and three different types of bows. if you select and shoot the wrong arrow you are as good as dead if you are ...

The original Dragon's Dogma only had one save file, so if you want to restart a new game you overwrote your original game although you were warned that this would happen.

I do like the Souls/Bourn games that can be played on or offline but most other games I play (ie. RPG's and Action/Adventure) are offline only.

PS4 games can be played on the PS5.

The article did not say if those PS4 games were played on a PS4 or on a PS5. Still you are quite correct in stating that "Wow still 70 million for PS4. That's huge!".

I have not played my PS3 for over two years although I have some games that I would like to replay such as Deamons Souls, Dark Souls 1 as well as FF 13 (IMHO its not bad on replay) just to name a few. Yes I do know some PS3 games that I have (I also have them on disk) can now be played on the PS5 but that means I will have to repurchase them.

The problem I have, is that why should I pay for PS3 games that I actually own to play on my PS5? I can understand some charge but to...

When you purchace a PS+ subscription (even if it just "essentials") in addition to free games you can get discounts on some games and some of those discounts can be as much as 90%.

From the article.

"The PS5 Slim disc drive does not always need to be online to work."

And in the same paragraph.

"Internet connection required to pair PS5 disc drive and PS5 console upon setup."

Fully agree - Overreaction town.

I do agree that "stick drift" is an absolute pain (it hapened to me within 8 months of purchase), however if you do have this anoyance within one year of purchase and have your original purchase receipt then all you need to do is take the "faulty" controller back (original place of purchase is best) and you get a new one.

As for this new controler I prefer symmetrical sticks since I predominately play action/adventure and RPG's but if you like the N...

The original "Lords of the Fallen" IMHO is quite a good Souls/Borne game although there are differences.

Basically unlike Souls/Borne games you have only one character (his name is Harkyn) with three differnt classes that in turn can be mixed with different attributes. In addition (unlike Souls/Borne) if you die you have a time limit to pick up your lost experience (there are rare items that can get back your experience immediately) otherwise you will loose it. ...

Well there are also the two DLC levels which do cost although they are not expensive. These levels can add about 10 to 40 hours to the game and in adddition you do get quite a bit of free content such as different clothing for the characters.

One of the clothing changes was the armour for the Nilfgaardian forces which is the same as in the Netflix series. Personally I don't like it but it is still your choice to apply or not apply from the options.

From my experience video game stores normally stock games that are popular to many players (afterall the store owners want to make money) so for those players that want less popular games you have not much choice but to get that game digitally unless you are lucky.

I have on rare occasions purchased a physical game that is two to three times cheaper than the digital copy even when that digital copy was on sale.

Still, like it or not digital downloads are ...

Actually it is very easy to up the number of hours you have been playing a game. Basically all you need to do (assuming you have a PS4 or 5) is to place the console into stand-by without exiting the game, so if you do this a one hour gameplay actually becomes a 24 gameplay or longer.

If I want to run PS4 games on my PS5 I have configured my PS5 to download to my USB 3 hard drive. Of course if I have a PS4 game that would benifit (i.e. shorter loading times) from the PS5's SSD then I will install that game there.

In FF12 you can use 1) Turn Based Combat, 2) Active Turn Based Combat which is coumpled with the Gambit System.

Basically the "Gambit System" uses fairly simple Boolean algebra (upto 12 levels) that allows the player to configure each character (as explained in the article) when you choose "active turn-based combat" which is excelent when fighting hordes of enemies, however you can instantly switch to turn-based combat when confronting a tougher enemy or...

Liking any game is actually subjective.

If you are a player that is a fan of fighting games it may be possible that you are not keen on Role Playing Games (RPG's) and likewise if you are a fan of RPG's you may not be keen on fighting games. Even people who like RPG's may prefer Japanese RPG's to Western RPG's and vice versa. So lets not get into the "I prefer X over Y" meme.

Basically "Tears of the Kingdom" is a Ze...

There are advantages and disadvantages when comparing turn-based, active turn-based, automatic (sort of pre-programmed) and real time action (such as when you would expect in a Souls/Bourne game).

As an exmple, take FF12 which is turn-based, active turn-based and automatic where you can select which one you want to use during each battle. Try "turn-based" for all battles then the total number of enemies would make the game a mental disaster for the player but havi...

Not sure why you would want to compare PS3 against PS5 sales (still it is statistics) when it would be more interesting to compare PS4 against PS5 sales (vgchats has done this. Thanks for the link) and their stats (ie. price, games, etc) considering the PS4 is still available and the PS5 is backwards compatible for PS4 games.

Actually I would be fully infavor as would many readers of being able to insert a PS3 game disk in my PS5 and have the PlayStation store install the P...

Personally I don't really have an issue with DLC which "of course" depends on the game, but I definately don't like microtransactions.

Back in the 1980's through to the early 2000's cartridges were the go-to media for games and basically they were much more expensive to produce than CD's, DVD's and Blue-ray's (yes there were other DVD ish media as well - example "GameCube") which actually replaced them.

As we progress futher into the 2000's digital downloads are becoming more popular although disk (ie. DVD and Blu-ray) is still used (Yes I am aware of the "Switch&qu...
