I'm in the HOME beta as well and while it's very cool and I can see everyone using it, it's not anything to get overly upset about taking too long to make. It's being refined and already has a great foundation but it's not like because it's taking longer to build it will become stale and thus unusable. I don't understand the "I want it NOW!" mentality of some folks. When you get it, you'll understand.

You're posts are continuously laugh out loud ignorant. Yes.. The 360 which isn't selling as well as it should be is having a firesale and it somehow means the PS3 (which is selling very, very well) is also going to cut it's price. That's not how it works. You drop your price out of desperation to sell more units. That's the whole point. Nintendo isn't dropping a cent because *gasp* supply and demand. And neither is Sony who has continuously (already?) been outselling the 360 for most of ...

The color on the PS3 doesn't look that faded out as already stated. The PS3 also appears to have more bloom thanks to it's powerful Cell processors.

That was said tongue-in-cheek of course.

Needs to hang up the boxing gloves for a bit. I can't remember one boxing game since Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! that I enjoyed. Well, Super Punch-Out! on SNES was great as well. Oh Ring King rocked, bring back Ring King please. I miss being able to uppercut the opponent out of the ring in 8-bit glory.

Both versions look the same to me. Which isn't saying much as I doubt the game is really pushing either console to any limits. Now, let's compare the graphics of this to the DC version of Ready to Rumble. ;)

Don't really want that to happen (PS3 surpassing 360 sales) but it is very close to happening. Once that does, it's truly over for the 360, you know that, right? For many reasons, a console that is in everyones homes with free online and a guaranteed harddrive and a larger storage capacity on disc is MUCH more appealing than some outdated, overheating, shoddily built system.

So yeah uhh.. Thanks for rooting us on I suppose?

This is the preorder beta and not the Qore beta?

So when the HD-DVD players dropped to $99 people weren't heralding it as also a good thing that was going to be a knockout punch to BR? I seem to remember many thinking this was the case despite MANY others saying HD-DVD was dying and on it's last leg. Denial was in full effect from 360 owners until a month later and it was dead. But until then, they were VERY adamant about HD-DVD.

Now, no. They are not the exact same, but don't herald a price drop in and of itself as being t...

You are exactly right. Nintendo and the PS3 are SELLING MORE THAN THE 360. So of course they aren't scared, nor do they have to lower the prices. Supply and demand folks. When your product isn't selling you.. Yes, that's right, lower the prices. It's not selling. It's dead, Jim.

Until the Wii and PS3 sales themselves slow, regardless of what the 360 does, they have zero reason to decrease costs. Even Sony knows those folks buying the 360's at a cheap cost are like the f...

And if you're too stupid to know the PS3 is a better unit for $200 extra, you're going to be really pissed when you find out it's $100 for the hard drive and $100 for the Wifi, THEN $50 a year for the online on top of all that crap. Or.. You can buy a PS3, get all of that from the getgo, built in and not hackey with the option to upgrade the HD at your leisure AND, ANNNND a Bluray player! It's a purchase any educated gamers knows to purchase and anyone else, I'm GLAD they are joining the 36...

And mostly flops, this is nothing but a desperate move. It won't impact anything, that's wishful thinking. People looking into that price range are going to get a Wii. Even Nintendo isn't afraid of the 360 price cut, imagine that! What 360 fanbots have been touting as the "true next gen system" is now cheaper than that unit they lambasted and made fun of since release and it STILL won't sell more! How *embarrassing*!

Well, it's going to be interesting for sure and ...

Despite the system having serious build defects. So they could pound their chests with schlock like this that should be obvious. It will be a dark day for the 360 when the PS3 nudges out the 360 in software sales, until then it *should* be selling more than the PS3.

I am surprised the margin isn't wider.

We measure quality by the number sold and not the actual quality of the product? Ok then, I suppose mainstream radio and TV is of the highest quality! And who didn't see Dude Where's My Car? That must be the best movie ever! Next you're going to tell me McDonalds has quality food because it's served over 1 billion.

It's still a piece of crap build wise and everyone knows this. Not to mention the hype for the future is with the PS3 now, not the 360. The days of the 360 being big are fading very, very quickly.

Add this with the fact they rip you off on the online (pay for the service AND get ads?? No thanks), you have to pay for a proprietary Hard drive, wifi, and sometimes cabling, and it just comes off as cheap and tacky. No wonder is in the bargain bin now.

That 360 games sell the most amongst the console and the Amazon sales charts show that week after week. Mainly Wii sales in software.

In the good ole' USA, most consumers (not all, but most) have VERY low standards for quality. Look at how much the 360 sold despite it's record number of failures. Way to speak up with your dollars, there consumers! I am sure companies have a firm grasp now on what kind of lack of quality in build processes you can get away with.

Oh we also like games with guys with guns, which is primarily what the 360 features.
