Right now it has no support, but considering movies and games have such a high piracy rate, studios would have no problem switching over. Use the existing DVD tech, replace a chip or two, and apply an encryption that's so much harder to crack... they have absolutely nothing to lose. Indy movies may be MUCH more numerous than Hollywood, but who loses more money with piracy?
2048-bit encryption, 100GB capacity, red laser tech (meaning cheaper)... Cheaper and more storage? exponentially it's 16 times harder to crack? Coming out as soon as late 2009? Blu-ray won't stand a chance!
