they were able to argue with themselves off their own original idea..
quite impressive
I hope we get a VR option for 9.
probably dirty fans.
no way, my 30th Pro looks glorious standing upright. Besides, it fits nicely next to my TV. Sideways this thing is massive.
definitely heard people with problems with their PS4 Pros and what sounded like a jet engine taking off in their room. But sometimes it was attributed to dirty fans.
I woudn't be surprised if there are a few reports of this, electronics are going to fail, I doubt it's the game itself and probably just a hardware defect for the particular users. That or their machines are getting poor circulation either due to storage location or dirty/clogged ventilation fans.
it can do better graphics than the Steam Deck. Higher resolution screen and it can use DLSS which is superior to FSR.
Nintendo - 152,790 units
PlayStation - 6,034 units
Microsoft - 191 units
Nintendo selling 25x as many units as the next closest competitor.
I'm glad we are playing as someone different, I enjoy these new characters.
no offense but Part 3 is coming, why are we worried about a game from 2017 getting a new coat of paint?
as an owner of a Steam Deck OLED and a Switch 2 I can wholeheartedly disagree with this statement.
The Steam Deck is nice as I can play my Steam library on the go. But until the Steam Deck can run Mario Kart World or DK Bananza at 60fps then honestly, I can't even begin to compare the two.
I wonder if in return we might see a Switch 2 port of Death Stranding or something like that.
@andy85 - I can appreciate both sides of the coin. I just feel that many games out there don't show significant visual upgrades. Sure maybe you can get more consistent 60fps over 30 on the base mode (when comparing things like Quality modes), so you have to ask is that worth a $700 purchase?
I mean that is the Quest ecosystem, you trade off a bit of graphical prowess but you gain in full freedom of movement.

The PS5 Pro has some nice things about it, but after using it since launch, I can easily say that the base PS5 is perfectly fine for the majority of players out there.
given how quickly Sony themselves abandoned support for the headset, I don't see them taking another crack anytime in the near future. PSVR2 was so much more technically sound and delivered a much better experience over the previous model, but I think VR is losing its steam and many people were turned off from the first headset after it delivered somewhat underwhelming experiences due to the limitations of the original device.
I love VR and will continue to support it,...
the battery lasts like 10 times as long as a dualsense though.
@badz149 - the N64 launched with 3 games. The PS5 launched with a bunch of PS4 games and Ratchet & Clank.
what's your point?
I love it on the PC as there are custom songs that people make which is awesome.
I use my PSVR2 on my PC (and on my PS5 Pro). It's annoying having to do the calibration each time, but w/e, I tend to use it in bunches on one machine then the other.
honestly, side by side with my OLED Switch I'll take the larger screen, faster refresh rate, and better performance.
People on this site, most of who don't even own one, are trying to make some big deal out of it or say it's a deal breaker. But honestly the screen looks mighty good. This is just my two cents though, having owned and used both of them, along with a Steam Deck OLED too (not to mention an LG OLED owner for my TV).
