The sad part is that Esler and guys like him won't even feel bad for damaging the kickstarter campaign.
For trying to destroy the dreams of tens of thousands they'll get much negative karma.
Agreed. I'm willing to take that risk as well. I wish more people thought this way.
I can't believe the attitudes of people these days. They can't even be hopeful that it will be good. You got nothing to lose so you may as well have hope in the remake. Worst case scenario... if it sucks you can replay the original instead.
The problem isn't lack of excitement or platform. The problem is idiots telling people "Don't back Shenmue because Sony is funding it". The haters have damaged the campaign with undue controversy.
@slaphappy You're the one injecting conspiracy with your "they are abusing kickstarter" BS. The point of Kickstarter is getting things made.
It's not about big companies and little devs. It's about games getting made. Would you rather games not get made?
If you were a good person you'd be apologizing for this article. Yet here you are trying to defend your clickbait garbage. The only happy thought here is you'll get your karma for this.
You aren't a fan. If you were a fan then you would back the series instead of trying to harm it's chance of getting the most funding. You should be ashamed of yourself and ashamed of this clickbait.
Well then... no open world games or simulated cities or fighting or cinematic experiences for you. QTE's are a way of making cinematic scenes more interactive.
I love well done QTE's like Leon's knife fight or MKX or Naruto Storm bosses.
And for the record Shenmue did not create QTE. QTE started with FMV games. Games like Dragon's Lair 2 predate Shenmue by almost 10 years.

Nobody hates BC. It's just not a game changing win. Also MS track record for BC sucks.
Praise be to Sony.
All my hope is for Shenmue 3. I fear that Shenmue 3 may not appear.
Oculus is now dead to me.
I gave them proper feedback... https://twitter.com/Neo_Zee...
They are not gonna want my opinions.
Did you though? Those sales numbers are terrible considering the sheer volume of PC gamers. I think you meant to say... Console owners will support your products even if the PC guys won't.
It goes to show that PC gamers ain't buying anything if it ain't in some insane Steam sale. Steam alone has 125+ million users. So PC sales should have smoked PS4's much smaller sales potential. But they didn't and that almost never happens. That's why CD Projekt Red said they couldn't afford for Witcher 3 to be PC only. PC has the largest install base but still doesn't pull the sales numbers it should.
Not true. You could still have massive worlds especially if you don't care about graphics. You can make a large world if you sacrifice quality. Why even bother with CG textures if grahics don't matter? You can settle for pixel art.
People want to say it's not about graphics but it is. If graphics didn't matter then there is no need for new hardware. If graphics didn't matter we would be playing Fallout 4 on the original Playstation not the PS4.
I know what I am getting for Christmas.
$150 a controller is too elitist for my tastes.
