coolbeans, new businesses in other industries take out similar "loans" all the time. Why should the gaming industry be treated any different?
My only problem is, I fear that a lot of that money went directly into the pockets of some of the big names they brought on board to work on the game....and help give it buzz...namely Todd McFarlane and R. A. Salvatore. I'd love to know how much guaranteed $$ those 2 guys demanded to be attached to the game.
It's about damn time....I was wondering when they were gonna finally make another DBZ game. Now if I could get some news on another Dynasty Warriors game, my life will be complete...
I played through Dead Island 2 times on PC, and another 2 times on 360...never had a single issue.
That...or they, like myself, know a little about French hygiene.... :o
Yeah....it's been out for months now...already been discounted by most retailers, on the 360 version. WTF happened on the PS3 version that this is just arriving?? o_0
Exactly....it's sad that the author wasn't bright enough to figure that out for themselves, before wasting the bandwidth on this pointless article. :o
That game was such a disappointment to me....just felt like a bad Max Payne clone.
Who cares about the box art for a PC game....ESPECIALLY a Windows Live game?? It will be pirated like crazy, while all those pretty boxes sit collecting dust.
Flawed logic is flawed. Just because this publishing service has 32 million "active accounts", says NOTHING about any accurate hypothetical subscription #s for this MMO, or any other game. It's like saying " 'X game' releasing on XBLA to potentially sell 30+ million copies/downloads..." just because of all the "active" Gold members Live has.
Why bother even asking the question? It's like asking "Where are all the natural disasters and biological plagues?".
I thought is was obvious, but I'll play along...
My point is, there's no reason to give them a free pass, for completely ignoring their fans for this long, with little-to-no news along the way. Japanese devs in general have an arrogance about them...much like Sony tends to...and it's bitten many of them in the behind this gen. It wouldn't kill them to throw the fans a bone now and then, to save face.
At this point, they'd really be better off working on making this a kick-ass launch title for PS4, rather than a laaaaaate entry on PS3. By the time the game releases, the graphics/tech will seem a bit dated, otherwise.
Please...don't try that "it was only announced 'X' years ago" crap. Team Ico was one of the first to get their hands on the PS3 dev kits, and early info was "leaked" about the game around the same time the PS3 launched in '06. They've actually managed to make Polyphony Digital look like speed-devs.
I played the original Enclave on Xbox and loved it. Pretty shoddy journalism to ignore it's existence, and claim "TopWare will be bringing the franchise to consoles for the first time". It was, in fact, originally an XBOX exclusive, and later ported to PC, PS2 and GC. It was one of the first games Starbreeze made, and was sadly overlooked.
Ha its for PC Also
Actually, you're BOTH wrong. This "rumor" isn't "proof" of ANYTHING....and the Wii U is an extreeeeeeeeemely late-to-the-party CURRENT gen console.
Click "Agree" if you also thought the title read "Premature Ejaculation..." when you first saw it. :o
A little disappointing that Randy gave ZERO mention of Rebellion's AVP game from 2 years ago, that had the same "Xenomorphs VS. Marines" MP he's touting to much as being new and original. Yes, the game was huge letdown, overall...but still, give credit...be a professional.
