i'm shocked more than anything that people still use hotmail.
it's spelled purge.
counting down the days until this releases. theres no comparison between this on pc versus 360 though. graphics on the sequel might actually tax my sli a bit.
this has the same mentality behind it as forcing your kid to smoke a pack of cigarettes at once to force them to quit.
i'm a bit unsettled that people are discussing what they would 'do' to a video game character...that thought aside, literally counting the days until ME 2 comes out :)
the link seems to be dead now.
you're a tool.
aside from this "article" being completely one-sided in terms of preference of forza3 vs gt5, it startled me to see how poor forza3's graphics are in comparison to gt5. why anyone would actually look forward to playing forza versus gran turismo is beyond me, console obligations aside.
both look spectacular :)
i completely agree with you as i think this argument can be completely subjective. i could easily build a desktop for $1000 that lays waste to graphics in comparison to console and it's very common among console gaming friends to think to the contrary. the technology has progressed soo, soo much in the past 2 years that the system that used to cost $3,000 a few years back, costs a fraction nowadays. laptops however cost a bit more unfortunately :( i've grown beyond the gamer phase along i...
on a side note i remember paying roughly 600 dollars for 2 gb of top grade corsair memory, 250 dollars for a cpu and 600 dollars for a top model x800 when it came out on a rig i built in 2005. pretty crazy how far things have come.
the claim that this rig can run games like crysis on high settings at 30 fps is questionable but even more so, who would want to run a FPS on 30 frames? i've always stuck by the mantra of 'if you can't afford quality, you can't afford it'. as one sided as it may seem i'm glad to say i spent extra money for quality parts and dare i say overkill in some areas. yes this rig will run games at an adequate graphical setting but high settings on cutting edge titles...please. i just custom built ...
this is really arms length relevant at best :/
as someone who has been a head moderator at the gotfrag.com forums for over 6 years now i can say that there are times where a heavy hand is needed but for the most part small steps are the approach to take. in every instance whether it be removing posts/threads or banning a user i have striven to inform them as to what they did wrong and use it as a springboard for better forum usage and behaviour in the future.
while i agree that usb will always be the gold standard as far as peripheral devices it's slightly irritating that my current usb2.0 on a brand new setup will be outdated in a short time frame. although firewire as a whole sees very little use for peripheral mediums i for one will take full advantage of the new firewire 3200 anyway i can.
i'll definitely give the demo a shot before i commit fully. several friends have purchased it for console and enjoy it quite a bit but i'll have to see how the transition to pc is.
there's a reason why pc innovation lead to the creation of modern video game consoles as we know them. the pc platform does and will continue to lead the way when it comes to graphical rendering.
what quite a few fans fail to realise initially is that this comes down to studio profit versus keeping a general minority of ticket sales happy. at the end of the day the studio will make more money by utilising a big name star versus adhering to the game rhetoric 100%.
i'm sensing keanu reeves in the lead role.
that's special...
