running them both at 720p i can definitely say the pc has sharper textures at the same rez. the ps3 version does come off with slightly blurred image in comparison. i wonder if the ps3 one is actually 1280x720. that video though isnt doing justice to the ps3 version. its not that washed out looking. it just doesnt have a overall sharper image than the pc at the same rez. also, i am not sure if you guys or gals have noticed, but the ps3 version also is suffering from some horrible sound sampli...
more so than the last one. i like that the enviroments are more open now. pulling up to a traffic light and getting into a race is pretty kewl too. one thing from revenge though, the sense of speed seems to have been slightly decreased.
will americans be able to purchase this as well since it is in the japanese store :(
@ comment 7. it lasts longer than one of the 2 sixaxis controllers i have (1st version). which i find weird.
and only about getting this game now, i live in boston, ma
the best buy near me has it but cant sell it till the 19th. and gamestop claims they dont have it. dam this would have been a good weekend to play. :(
^_^
edit: 44% and bubble for above :)
1080i is an interlaced image and 720p is prgessive. every human's eyes are not the same. some people prefer 720p and some like 1080i better. i personally like 1080i better as it does draw slightly more pixels 1280x720=921600 pixels (720p) vs 1920x540=1036800(1080i) also, an interlaced images gives what i call the interlace shimmer on some parts of images.
gt hd exhibited those shmmering fields because of lack of anti ailiasing. rachet at 1080i doesnt do it at all. :)
but it looks way sharper on my screen when i play :) i just picked up a used forza2 to hold me over till the full version hits.
at the xmb, but as soon as he went into the game, uff...
i will be happy at 1080i on my plasma :)
i just think the need for speed games are going down hill. :( pgr4 is a way better experience.
but that lancia was one of the better rally cars of its time. :) any real car admirer will appreciate that ...
but both games play really well though. as for pgr4, i cant stop playing the demo. its a fun game that gets you into the think of things fast. like an arcade racer should. i will pick it up eventually. pgr4+ a perfect circle playing in the background= priceless... ^_^
when i will be picking up uncharted and time crisis 4. i would have already paid my major bills by then..hehe
and no places here have it. they all said it would be on the 31st :)
feels like gow 1.2 to me. u cant access any special upgrades, but the demo is kewl. something to play while i wait for user training in Ct. tomorrow morning.
GO BoSox :)
i was thinking to myself "dam, these guys made sure this game ran well across an array of hardware configs" when i 1st booted up at 720p rez on my HD tv. i will probably get the pc version. (updated drivers down the line i would assume will only help the cause on my 7800gt)
let me start my career mode already. i need to start working on some cars for you guys online :) sweet demo :) ^_^
p.s. lol, that 135i will not sell in america. hehehe
:)
they both look pretty much identical. the only things i have really noticed were 1, the 360 sounds are louder at the same volume settings and 2, the ps3 version seems to have more varied crash scenes. like the trading paint crash scenes. i have seen like 2 different ones on 360 and 4 diffrent ones on ps3. i tried to hit on coming the same way on both. also for the record, ps3 rumbles too ^_^
at above comment.
actually i havent seen and refresh problems at 1080i on my ...
