It's sad that Gran Turismo 5 had the smallest increase this week of any game in the Top 10. Even Kinect Adventures! saw more preorders this week. And you've got to remember that GT5 has probably been available for preorder for years now, after all the delays. So it's had a lot more time to build up preorders and quite a few of those probably won't translate to sales anymore after all this time.
It matters, but not to nearly the same extent as the other two main regions; the Americas and Europe. In Japan, the PS3 is currently selling the most, with the Wii second, and the 360 third. While worldwide, the 360 is selling the most, followed by the Wii, and then the PS3.
They damn better have made some changes to it, because everyone will have already played the game a year ago and it will be old news in 2011.

You're right, Sales =/= Quality, Sales = Success. That's why Microsoft is beating Sony right now. And I don't know about the Wii... Just look at last week's worldwide hardware sales from VGChartz:
360: 278,639
PS3: 142,771
Wii: 134,706
The Wii is getting beaten by even the PS3! The PS3! These are some dark days indeed for the Wii.
The causal audience is where the money is at. Microsoft already has the hardcore audience, and now they are catering to a new crowd while continuing to cater to us. Although Kinect does have incredible potential for the future, right now developers are just starting to explore the possibilities. This is the experimentation phase, and these casual games are what we will see during it.
If Microsoft keeps pumping out ads like these, Kinect will definitely meet expectations and s...
It sounds awesome. This will be the only DLC I buy for RDR, because all the others seem to be multiplayer exclusive content. RDR is still my favorite game of the year so far, though. Rockstar never disappoints.
$ony $ucks
Yeah, where's the proof? If you make a ridiculous claim against the 360 you don't need proof here, but this is the PS3! The console of the gods!
The only one I'm interested in is LittleBigPlanet 2, although it's not in this list.
I believe the Wii has already been in a decline for nearly a year now. I mean, just look at last week's worldwide hardware sales:
360: 278,639
PS3: 142,771
Wii: 134,706
The Wii is far ahead in first place based on all-time sales, but it's in last place (even behind the PS3!) in current weekly sales. It's definitely not looking very good for the Wii.
Better than last place.
And yet graphics continue to be one of the least important factors in determining a game's quality.
I despise fighting games with every fiber of my being.
Finally, it might actually be bearable to play most games on the PS3 now. Hallelujah!
And this November, Kinectimals will be releasing sales charts of how it outsold EyePet 10 to 1 in its first week.
The 3 biggest week one sales for a game exclusive to one console:
1. Halo: Reach (4,049,971)
2. Halo 3 (3,815,444)
3. Halo 2 (3,302,008)
Hmm, something tells me that there Halo franchise is pretty popular.
Not true. Halo: Reach was the most anticipated and now Black Ops is. You don't have to be a time traveler to know that both games will sell more than Gran Turismo 5.
Despite anything to do with the website and whether or not the numbers are accurate, do you actually believe that the 360 is not widening the gap? After a brand new Slim model launched, a Halo release, and Kinect coming up?
Well hey, maybe you're right and they aren't accurate. Maybe the 360 isn't outselling the PS3 by a 2:1 ratio, but in fact a 3:1 ratio! Every time VGChartz is called out for being inaccurate, it seems we are to automatically assume that the PS3 ...
But the 360 is also outselling the PS3 in Europe. Hell, by a 2:1 ratio last week, although that was because of Reach. The only region the PS3 is outselling the 360 in is Japan, but Japan's sales are only a small fraction when the other 2 main regions are brought into the equation.
This is only 2010 sales, so what does the head start have to do with it? If it was life to date sales, then you would have a point.
