It's not a proper MMO, I like the game but the way multiplayer interactions are handled ranges from irrelevant to annoying and the game just doesn't reward you for your time, I played through from level 25 to level 65 with the same set of power armour and the "All Rise" super-sledge, there's no real challenge and no great loot to justify repeated runs over the same content. Back to Warframe for the time being.
It's Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, already up in Australia.
It is a good game, I'm up to around 90 hrs on XB1 and apart from lag at times I have had no problems, I haven't had a disconnect since last weekend and I have not experienced any of the bugs people are on about; this "negativity" is mostly all about Youtubers trolling for subs and dodgy games writers peddling clickbait. It is a survival game in the Fallout universe, it is something different in the same way that ESO is different to the single player Elder Scrolls games.
In the early stages put it near water and set up a couple of purifiers, I found that a big help, there are a few good spots around Flatwood.
Once you get past about level 30 and get your perks really working for you the game opens up significantly, I haven't had any negative experiences with griefers and pests either, on the rare occasion that I have run into other players they've either ignored me or the interaction has been positive.
Forza Horizon 3, racing through the countryside as the sun was rising and Ablaze by School Of Seven Bells came on the radio, it's actually more the music in those games which creates the moments.
How is Fallout 76 lacklustre? Apart from periods of lag I'm having a ball with it, can't put the controller down; the PvP interactions are usually hilarious, the survival aspect keeps the momentum up and the game doles out rewards at a good pace.
Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw.
I played ashen for a few hours last weekend, it is a lot easier than Dark Souls and it has none of the atmosphere.
The worst thing I've heard any reviewer say about this game is that it all feels like a pointless grind.
Publishers will still do limited edition collectors items, just as music labels release exclusive vinyl LP's and cassettes these days.
Especially since The Division only really came into its own after nearly two years, it's great now since 1.8 but are Ubisoft going to sell "seasons" as well after the year one pass is up?
BF3 and Hardline for me.
Play it on "Blood And Broken Bones" difficulty, otherwise it's too easy, the combat is a lot more fun on the higher difficulty settings.
The "How to get de-registered by the medical board and placed on a sex offender register" simulator.
My experience on the 360 boiled down to being trapped inside your base within the first couple of minutes and spawn killed over and over until you rage quit.
On XB1 it still crashes every time I start an Arkfall, if not for that I'd be into it, spent many hours playing the original and loved it.
I got FH3 for free when I bought my Xbox One.
Great choice of music, game looks good too.
In my 51 years I've never seen anyone substitute "Cher" for share, you sir are a bona-fide original.
