Pachter is an idiot, and I tell him as much whenever I see him in person down on Fig and 7th.
Absolutely brutal.
It's going to be an amazing year for gamers!
I actually think this is a very interesting angle for an article. Nice work author.
All the kids in my family have completely forgotten about this series. It's old news.
With Sony leaving this market, and Nintendo being the only survivor, it would be unwise for Microsoft to jump in at this point.
That is definitely the plan. Unfortunately if successful it will also pave the way for the end of the console market.
As for now, it has a lot of serious problems to overcome before it can be called a success.
This reminds me a lot of Tokyo Bus Drive for the Sega Dreamcast.
This couldn't be more wrong.
1. "First on PlayStation"
2. PC release of the original
3. Sony never owned the rights to the property.
4. At the time of the publication of the original version, Sony had a share in Square-Enix, which they sold several years ago.
5. Sony has no hand in the publication or development of the new game.
6. Square-Enix needs this game to shore up their p...

EDIT: BTW, his successor was already running the company from behind the scenes, being groomed by Iwata himself for his new position. I mean, these people in the gaming press do know that he had a very serious, long term illness right?
You won't read this anywhere else but in this comment. I need to stop giving stuff away for free on N4G. Honestly, I should probab...
I knew this at E3, as did anyone with connections to Square-Enix. Square Enix just recovered from a long period of financial losses. It would be financially irresponsible for them not to release this game on as many platforms as possible.
Still, the biggest new of E3 was not the announcement of this game, but rather that it's no longer a PlayStation console exclusive.
Edit: Nevermind.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
I played mine a couple of times and never touched it again.
If you need to ask that question then you've never visited that site, or don't know it's long established reputation.
NeoGAF has less credibility than most of the fanboy and marketing websites you see on the front page of N4G.
It used to be a place where certain industry folk would hang out, now even being associated with that place is damaging to your street cred and harmful to your brand. I've been told by industry friends that their employ...
Nintendo will never disappear as a gaming brand, and anyone who suggests otherwise should probably go back to NeoGAF.
"No name sites"
All of whom have better Alexa rankings than NeoGAF.

This isn't even a story about E3. You have serious issues. You're stalking me now. Definitely reporting this to the mods.
Oh and the three sites you mentioned are all well known for supporting Sony, especially IGN ("Gamescom belongs to Sony and so does my heart." "Nintendo DS will be replaced by a portable Game Cube" "Wii will be a failure that will only appeal to Nintendo fans.")
And NeoGAF, better known as Sony GAF.
Begging for money in a Kickstarter at E3 was just embarrassing. Literally holding a long awaited game for ransom. Even though I have backed the Kickstarter twice, it is still the sleaziest moment in E3 and gaming history.
Sony's biggest announcements were multiplats and games coming out in 2016/2017. Go back and watch Microsoft's E3 press conference and tell me how many times you hear the words "xbox one exclusive."
And the real news about F...
That's a fairly childish response. It really comes off as fanboy blather, no offense.
To give you a serious answer to your immaturely stated question, because he's frequently wrong, has a terrible track record, and I'm surprised he's still working in the analyst industry. I mean, you can only be wrong so many times before people start to lose faith in you. Speaking of which...
