That's a really bold statement considering that we haven't seen the new 3D Mario, Smash Bros., or Zelda yet.
Anyways...
I think that if you are a Nintendo fan, you're expected to think positively. What fan, or logically person, purchases a product that they don't want to succeed?
Yes...
like all rumble features, it depends on the game.
@ Sharodan
A significant number of handheld gamers also own home consoles. How can you possibly claim that they are completely different markets? It's not the same market, but hardly apples and oranges. It's more like apples, and apple sauce.
The 3DS is on pace to sell more than the DS (best selling handheld ever). I'm sorry, but that does not sound like a "starving market" to me.
If the Vita has proven anything, it'...
"But will it be able to maintain a solid presence once the "PS4" and "Xbox 720" are released?"
I think that it will.
Launching first certainly paid off for the 360 and 3DS. The more "alone time" that the WiiU has on the market, the more 3rd party devs Nintendo will place in their pockets.
Also, if they wait too long, the PS4 and 720 could end up launching against the next Zelda, Smash Bros., or 3D Mario...
Hmmm, I wonder why "no plans" is in quotations?
*reads last paragraph*
But AT THE MOMENT, it just isn’t happening.
...Oh, because this article is BS. Carry on.
When?, is a better question.
- No link
- No quotations from the interview
I feel the same way about television (meaning that I do not watch much of it... GO CARDINALS lol), but not enough to split hairs.
Netflix sold exceptionally well on the Wii. So, how disappointed can you be really be? This was a given. That is, unless you honestly expected Nintendo to market towards the "someone who doesn't watch TV" crowd this gen.
"way to start off a new generation huh? BS & limitations before u can even open the thing.."
Uh... no lol. This is an opinion piece.
This is an opinion piece from somebody that... has not "even opened the thing" yet. A little early to play the "straw that broke the camel's back" card isn't it?
@ MattS
I found this in the article that YOU POSTED.
"Digitally Downloaded recently had the opportunity to have a talk with infamous GAMES INDUSTRY ANALYST Michael Pachter."
But yea, thanks for link. Oh by the way, a funny thing happened. I am on the site (I like to read), and yet, I cannot seem to find Pachter's name anywhere. Is he an intern lol? Perhaps you can help?

Not unless the people "making a living" do the exact opposite of what Patcher says. Patcher's predictions are generally wrong. He even admitted this himself, "sometimes I put 2 and 2 together, and come up with 7". This is the same man that "doomed" the 3DS and the Wii. I think that he also predicted that Nintendo would go 3rd party after the "Wii disaster".
FYI:
Pachter is a Video Game Indus...
People that want Nintendo to fail.
This is why you cannot take Nintendo so literally when they say that "we don't pay for exclusives". Of course they do in some way, shape, or form.
Well said. B up+
I really don't get this one either. Like it, or not, it looks as if the WiiU could be the only next gen console available for about a year. It's kind of hard not to be relevant when there is no competition.
As for staying relevant, that is where the 3rd party support factors in. And of course, the first party big boys.
I know that I am asking a lot, especially after such a well known fact, but... link?
p.s.
Oh, could you also provide the link that proves that this wasn't a legitimate suicide?
Thanks, and how disappointing.
In all fairness, however, they only confirmed that it won't be available at launch. It also sounds as if Activision is trying to make it happen.
No where in their statement did I read:
"...theyre not doing it with wii u version.."
EDIT:
@ Disagrees
"We are currently evaluating options for Call of Duty Elite to support Nintendo's Wii U gam...
You forgot "kinda isn't". No, that would be kind of silly, wouldn't it?
"I just read that Activision said theyre not doing it with wii u version.."
I am calling BS, link please.
Agreed... people need to chill lol.
I think that his finger got a little bit too close to your avatar.
Twilight Princess had the best sidekick, awesome dungeons, and a truly epic end battle. It is a great game in it's own right, but nowhere near as great as Ocarina of Time.
I think that if Twilight Princess didn't have so much padding (especially in the beginning of the game), this would have been a tougher choice to make.
