I own all of them myself. I'd never presume to tell anyone which is better. I bought the Wii U because it's Nintendo, so I'll get some updated versions of timeless classics, and the much-maligned gamepad is actually a revolutionary controller and peripheral that could change things significantly if developers would use their imaginations. I bought a PS4 because JRPGs are one of my favorite genres and there will be tons of them on the system if history is any indication. I bought a...
I couldn't possibly pick just one from that list. That's asking a bit too much.
Wild Arms or Suikoden. I originally bought a Playstation for Final Fantasy VII, but I had to wait for its release, so I bought Wild Arms and Suikoden to tide me over. Almost forgot about FF VII while playing those two. To this day, I make sure to buy the newest Playstation systems because I know that they will have a ton of JRPGs. I have a PS4 and am currently greatly anticipating Tales of Zestiria and Star Ocean 5.
Just downloaded this game. This is actually my first digital download for a big release. I'm trying something new. Typically, I get off of work at 3:30am and drive to Walmart to purchase games I really want on release day, along with a huge sandwich and some Pringles to eat while I wait for the game to install. I then take a shower and exercise. This tradition typically takes until around 5:30am.
I think I'm going to like it better just driving straight home, eating, ...
This was one of my favorite games from 2014 and this series is one of my all time favorite western-style RPG series, ranking up there with Gothic, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls.
I'll never understand the hate, but I suppose there are people out there that would be baffled by my lack of enthusiasm towards Halo, God of War, Gears of War, Bioshock, and other such popular series.
As they say, different strokes for different folks.
I'm really looking forward to this game. I believe I shall frequently drink a case of beer while exploring this absurdly large game.
I think I'll be some kind of drunken, mostly peaceful space explorer who occasionally dabbles in piracy when I've had one too many.
I agree that it wouldn't hurt to diversify their library a little bit, but even "mature" games are often actually pretty immature and more prone to attract the kid audience than their typical colorful games.
For instance, MadWorld on the Wii is considered a mature, adult game due to its violence, but I would've liked it much better when I was kid than I did as an adult. On the other hand, games such as Mario Galaxy I can enjoy no matter my age.
Thanks.
This "kiddy" stigma that Nintendo has had for years has never made any sense to me. I don't think it originated from people who play Nintendo games.
I actually find many of Nintendo's games to be some of the most challenging games out there; especially if you want to go for a hundred percent completion. Their games are often just... games; trials to be completed in order to win.
Not sure where the "kiddy" stigma came from. I've been playing Nintendo games on Nintendo systems since 1986 and it's pretty rare for me to come across an overly easy game made by them or by others for their systems.

Yeah, I have an obsession with keeping no less than 25 of each alchemy and crafting item "just in case". Even with each item having 0.01 weight, I still have quite a heavy collection of stuff I probably don't need. But I'd hate to have this rule for over a hundred hours of gameplay, abandon it, then regret it because something comes up where I need several alchemy or crafting items. I'm probably obsessing over nothing, but thankfully the developers have people like me in...
Regarding the horse race in Skellige, I have the same problem with the the Xbox One version. I think it's the last horse race I need to complete all of the horse races, but there's no one there to talk to in order to start the quest. I've tried it at several different times of day and night, and have loaded and reloaded my various saves with no success. I plan on playing this game for a few more weeks at least, so I hope they fix it by then. Not sure if I'll reinstall the whol...
Thanks. I've been wanting to play them for years, so I couldn't pass up that deal I got.
I... was amused during my hasty skimming of this "article". Anyway, I bought a lot of Hitman games (possibly all of them) during a recent Steam sale. I'll eventually play them all and not write nonsensical articles afterwards. I hope. I am prone to drunken tirades.
However, as of the writing of this comment, I have consumed roughly 16 beers and I think I'm still comprehensible. So, anyway... yep.
I have probably around 500 games I haven't even started on and dozens that I'm in the middle of. Many of those I haven't started on will likely never be played at all, and many of those I'm in the middle of will likely never be finished.
I used to get a bit panicky thinking of all these games I still have to get through, but I've calmed down. I look back to when I collected comic books; I had over a thousand of them, but I read only a handful of them. I ju...
From what I've seen of this game, it looks great and I can't wait to play it. It'll be the first time in a long time that I've taken an entire week off of work for a video game. Though with Just Cause 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles X coming out so soon after this game, I might take several four and five day weekends instead of a solid week. It doesn't matter; I've got plenty of vacation time and a few months to figure out how to use it.
Here is my personal "best of" list from E3, in no particular order:
Fallout 4 gameplay (notably the base building and release date)
Just Cause 3 gameplay and release date
Xenoblade Chronicles X gameplay and release date for the US
South Park: The Fractured But Whole announcement
Star Ocean 5 gameplay
Hololens demo
Rare games collection and release date
My backlog is getting absurd. I think I'm nearing the 500 mark of games I haven't even played yet. Whether that's half my collection, I'm not entirely sure, but it's probably close.
In just the last week or so, between Humble Bundles, Steam summer sales, and GOG summer sales, I've bought nearly 150 games. I'll likely never play or beat many of them, but how can I pass up these insane deals?
I play games for around 30 hours a week, ...
It's been a while since I took a week off of work for a game, but I'm definitely going to do it for this game. I have a bad feeling it's going to get delayed, though. Most games get delayed at least once these days.
I remember Dying Light taking over 3 hours to install, which was very frustrating. Typically, it only takes half an hour or less for games to install for me. Not sure why that one took so long.
I already have this downloaded and ready to go for Tuesday morning. I get off work at 3:30am that morning and will play it until bedtime, and I'm also working only a half-shift Tuesday night so I can play it all night until I have to go to bed Wednesday morning.
I have been anticipating this game since about four hours into Just Cause 2 and I can't imagine why this game isn't garnering more heat on this site. The Just Cause series is video gaming defined. Just pur...
