Great community, great developer team. I know one of the devs personally and he is very dedicated to the project. PvK is a great melee game, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a skill based game.
I will have to disagree, Halo is in fact the most over rated game I've ever seen, next to Call of Duty. I think its mainly overrated due to the fan base and the category they fall in.
The Halo series itself is very good, the story pays a lot of attention to detail, with that being said...the game itself is not impressive enough to earn articles that analyze a trailer so deeply that I felt like it was a episode of CSI.

Did that need clarification? I could immediately tell that was real-time...I don't see how there were really any revolutionary improvements to the engine. Texture mapping still looks awful, but I guess it's a console so what ever.

Oh, the things Halo fans get excited for. Bungie is a decent developer and I'm sure they'll tend to needs of the 360 fans. With that being sad, I didn't see anything spectacular and or "impressive" throughout that entire video...for it being the "Premier" of a video game that is supposed to blow our minds, the video was quite bland. Trust me, I'm an avid Grand Turismo fan. I admire their graphics compared to the competition such as Forza 2 who yeah has decent graphics goes the wrong way with their overlay engine which in return just makes things look like plastic.

I haven't seen a game really look photo realistic yet, reason why is because most developers spend so much time developing a "skybox engine" or a "water engine" or a "normal mapping" engine that they end up lacking in some other aspect of the game which will give the picture away as not-realistic.
