A buddy of mine beat Mario Bros. on the NES, without using warps, for the first time ever yesterday. Unbelievable that it was an accident on the anniversary.

I positively *hate* the roguelike genre. The restarting makes me furious. I hate dying and hitting an inconvenient checkpoint for cryin' out loud.

I prefer consoles over PC when it comes to shooters -- mouse and keyboard being better aside -- because it's what I've always played on. I'm better on a controller, even if it's worse.
So many times I've been dissapointed by CG trailers. It's why I've always loved the Metal Gear series. Everything, including promotional material, is in-game.
They're journalists in the sense that they report. Their reporting styles aren't exactly journalistic, but the quality of information is on par.

A friend of mine played a lot of WWII shooters and started digging into the history of the war. Now he's one of the most informed and articulate (unofficial) WWII historians I know.
More zombies means less terrible vampire garbage, and I'm alright with that.
