Sure, but with an easy mode the player can decide if he wants to have a challenge or not. Some players don't have the time (like myself) to learn a game and prefer to enjoy it than hating it ;-).
Actually it plays great on the PS Vita, Lab Zero Games did an awesome job porting Skullgirls 2nd Encore to the PS Vita!
I would prefer that a game like Dark Souls 3 has an easy mode as the player could decide how he wants to enjoy the game, with brutal difficulty or with easier gameplay settings.
